Carola, as all Schleich I buy locally, it is made in China. The few made in Portugal I own are from online shops or from friends of the forum. |

| Wonderful new additions Roger! I love all of them! I especially love that new papo fox, I'll have to get him as soon as the local stores start stocking him! Or maybe I'll have to order him online since I am not very patient with the stores who sometimes take months to stock a new figure lol |

Strange when you live in Portugal, it seems crazy to import from China. Like here in Denmark, Germany isn't far away, still most Schleichs to be found are from China. I have only one from Portugal, I was lucky to find in a store. |

I have only one from Portugal, I was lucky to find in a store. The most part of Schleich figures are made in China so it is not surprising at all that we find them everywhere, including countries where they are also made. I really don't care too much where they're made, only when I have some preference for a certain variation. Of course I enjoy if they are made in Portugal once it is my country. It is true that this last year the Chinese versions are showing a clearly lower quality and I hope the brand recover their manufacturing standards soon. Curious is that I can find in Portugal Schleich figures from different distributors and all are made in China. Also, I never found where Portuguese versions are made. - Wildheart wrote:

| Now some more additions from two German friends! First the old Cape buffalo of Schleich that I got from Yvett for a symbolic value. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Then, all these little gifts, Hong Kong anteater, pangolin, armadillo and Britains sheep from Yvett and these two Veb Plaho from Andreas. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Although these Hong Kong figures are just old cheap copies, I just love them. Specially when one of them is my first pangolin! I love pangolins, here is it in an outside photo. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thanks Yvett and Andreas! - GoldEagle wrote:

Hahah, thanks Amanda, how can a collector not be patient? - Carola wrote:

Soon the headlines say, there has been a strange burglary in Portoguese Schleich factory, with hundreds of new figures gone. The public will ponder the motivation of this very unusual theft |

| Great additions. I especially commend your possession of that allusive (at least to me) buffalo. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | OK, as tomorrow is working day, I don't want Andreas awake all night because of a skunk! Lance, one of the big Safarists of our forum, knowing I was searching the retired skunk offered it to me. I also have to thank him for helping me to find another figure to a friend and also thanks to Phil that also tried to help me finding this figure! Strangely, Safari hasn't identified the species on catalogue calling it simply skunk. The white upper parts, very long tail and the effort of making it look fluffy, makes me feel almost sure that it is a hooded skunk. A striped skunk it is not. Please if someone have a better suggestion, just let me know. Safari Ltd skunk |
