New Britains figures for Mreyder

Bought a few new Britains animals:




The last one is a unpainted Britainsdog: i just love the unpainted Britainsfigures: they are hard to find, but i have found some different ones during the last 10 years.

The gaur is a great sculpt. I have it myself. Also interesting of reading about unpainted figures.

mreyder what scale is the unpainted sheep dog?

The unpainted "Britains" versions I have and have seen are 1:76th scale. They were 1960's promotional items for Kraft cheese slices.

Thanks! Indeed: the Gaur is magnificent.

Chris: the unpainted dog is 1:32, as all my unpainted britainsfigures are. In the past, the figures were painted by houseworkers: people who collected the unpainted figures and then would paint them at home (exactly in the paintcolours as Britains wanted them becuase otherwise they did not get payed!) and return them to the factory.

Also i have this interesting male-goat:

It is a later type male-goat,, but (probably by mistake) painted in the colours/colourscheme of the Female-goat.

This is a fine collection of unpainted Britains animals and farm figures Michel.

The reason I asked about the scale of the collie dog is that the type of white plastic was similar to that used in the 1:76th scale Kraft promotional animals that I have. The Kraft models were the same size as the Airfix ones but again the plastic used was different from the type Airfix used. Airfix was inspired by Britains Herald model poses so this further adds to confusion.
