Also with the new Shires they introduced brown dots in the horse range. I don't recall any of the older big horses to be more than grey dotted :) I apologize for my late reply , but I do not believe I've seen any horses above the grey dot range either. If my memory serves, the only other animals I've seen in the brown dot were elephants... Were there any others? |

Here is my list: Grazzing zebra Warthog female Black Rhino Badger kits Standing raccoon Wolverine Lying lamb Poitou Donkey and foal Fleckvieh cattle Haflinger foal lying Andalusian family Friesian Stallion Quarter Horse Shetland pony
You really think the wonderful Quarter and Friesian Stallion will go? I think the Friesian Mare is more likely to go, as she is much 'older'... And the Quarter.. Does he maybe have bad sales?
Those two guys are certainly of the better in their horses line, I think. :) Carola, sorry for replying so late. :) The quality of Schleich figures is is not considered in my guesses, only in my wishes and those are not definitviely my wishes. Good Schleich figures have often a short life, musk ox and mountain goat are two good examples. Of course I can be wrong and I agree that the Friesian stallion is much nicer than mare and it surely is selling well, just trying to guess. The same for Quarter horses. Maybe my wildlife guesses were more rational once I am more used with this kind of figures. But again, behind my guesses are more commercial than quality reasons. No problem, first saw your answer today I see yes :) Przwalski also had a short life, and is a great figure. And the Tapir too And the Percheron stallion at the horse part. |

I'm sure you mean retiring a large amount in 2013? :) I think the decisions are made mostly on a determination of "bad sales," so I don't know if a pattern would be noticed or not. I mean, they had quite a few new figures this year, so possibly less retired? |

Schleich does seem to have been making many tiny models lately - 14639 Arctic fox cub, 13687 Falabella foal, the 2013 releases of marine animals... |

| I don't know how true this is but I found this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The male kangaroo was already discounted at my local Tractor Supply store, so I wouldn't be surprised if the kangaroo family was retired as this site mentions. |

The male kangaroo was already discounted at my local Tractor Supply store, so I wouldn't be surprised if the kangaroo family was retired as this site mentions. Thanks! I believe this is the info for the set, though it wouldn't surprise me once male and joey were already discontinued this year. Thus, the female with baby can be next. However, if it happens, I don't believe the range will continue without a single kangaroo, what could mean they'll be replaced. :) |

Yeah, that'd be strange. And the female kangaroo is a rather new and well-made model to be replaced. How can they do a kangaroo figurine more realistic/attractive for consumers? I don't know... _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! My collector's blog
