| I painted this little guy last Friday, I'm not too good with horse colours but I think this is called a Bay Roan (correct me if I'm wrong). The colour is based on the Ardennes horses, I think Bay Roan is the most common colour for this breed in the UK. I've named him ' Sylvester' I have painted individual hairs on his coat and veins, it's really hard to see on the photos, being such a small model the photos don't pick it up. He's Stablemate scale, a bit bigger than Britains. | Such lovely work. This is by far the best paint-up of this mold I've seen. Your paint application makes it seem as though some of the detail of the original, big sculpt has actually been restored to the resin! Also, roan is a tricky colour to maintain the correct shades in the colours while painting (the gray tends to turn the reds of the underlying brown violet), and you've certainly managed to do it. |

I'm glad you like 'Sylvester'. @Lea I was surprised when searching for painted Mini Cromwells that I only found a few. Thanks Lea for your compliments, I'm glad you like him - I've actually bought Traditional Cromwell!! I know he was expensive, but I had some gift vouchers from a friend so it went towards purchasing him. I'm so excited to get him, it's such a beautiful sculpture and it will be so great to own a direct copy of Doris Lindner's original, she was an amazing sculptress. I dream of owning one of her cattle sculptures one day.
