CollectA 2014: SEALIFE - Pygmy Sperm Whale (88653)

Dear Fans and Collectors

I have pleasure in announcing a new addition to the CollectA Sealife range.  The unusual and beautiful Pygmy Sperm Whale.  It has long been wanted by collector's as I don't believe a a replica exists by any of the major brands (feel free to post any existing replica's).  These animals are slightly larger than  dolphin and are not often sighted at sea.  Much of what we know about these elusive sea mammals derives from examinations undertaken on stranded specimens.

I absolutely adore this species as it is just so unusual looking.  Again this is an early stage photo.  A few subtle changes are being made.   I am really looking forward to this particular model and one of my highlights from the 2014 range.

That is a release even braver than saola! The species is also very rare and uknown but not as atractive.
I only have to congratulate CollectA for being able of giving us animals like those and as result, building one of the most interesting sealife ranges of all brands. Thanks for sharing and I am looking forward to see my collecting subject being presented.

I received a parcel some days ago with some of the 2014 Collecta releases. As I'm a marine mammal collector I asked for the two models of this year. I didn't now much about this specie before reading this post about that Collecta model, then I read a little bit about it and now I can say it's a very nice replica. The scale is 1:23

Yes, it's really a good model, but this one is not so popular as another models (less answers to the thread). But I must say it's a very nice figure for a such rare specie for toy manufacturers.
