Papo Komodo Dragon repaint - Varanus komodoensis

First impression of a project, started with the big help of a portugese crocodile who sent me the Papo Komodo Dragon.
This figurine is good and bad at the same time. Dynanmic pose, nice sculpt. But:
Head too small and very odd colouration,....
So let's have a try, making a King of Komodo off the King of Chlorodo.
I chose the Colouration of a subadult specimen, representing the typical Zoo Komodo Monitor.
The Papo one can't be a very old one,
his habitus is still showing a younger specimen.

The work improved a lot that figure, a outside picture would have an excelent result.

The original one loos like they just had some surplus paint from the dinos, - yours is the real colour !!!

Ah, he's lovely! A remarkable improvement on the original. I always felt the fine sculpt went to waste somewhat with the violently green finish. Here's one saved specimen!

Papo komodo dragon has the best position
but its color isn't interesting and it really needs some repaint like this.

Rebour komodo dragon is fantastic but 50 cm length!!
so maybe the best choise is buying papo and repainting it
