1:22 Indian Elephant cow

My latest sculpture is a 1:22 scale Indian elephant cow, 11.5cm - 8.3 ft tall. The model is nearing completion, texture will be added next, I plan to paint it with the pink colouration on the face and ears typical of this species. This will be a single piece for my collection.

She's beautiful Andrew, her face is just incredible, the expression is so perfect. I'm looking forward to seeing her finished.

The planned painting sounds great ! We ( almost?) never see that on industrially made models. cheers

Thank you, Schleich elephants have some pink on them and I believe Papo does too, but you are correct that it is not common.

Texture has been added and the painting has started. I still need to add some more layers of paint but here is how it looks so far.

Absolutely gorgeous! Such wonderful detail. The skin is amazing. (It's all amazing, but I was especially smitten with the texture of the skin and the coloring.)
