| And here are 3 reptiles/amphibians: The green reptile could be some species of gecko. He has red spots on his back. The orange figure could be some species of salamander. The figure has some green/yellow spots on his back an a green belly. The third animal should be a chameleon. They´re all market as "china" and the material is flexible rubber. I think, especially for the chameleon, it is (are) Safari toob. But i dont have a reptile and also no amphibian book. |

| EDIT: the reptiles are from the Safari LTD reptiles TOOB. It is an older TOOB, so the figures are not marked on the underside.
The figures are not identified with this particular TOOB, but the 'salamander' like thing could be a Gila monster with a poor paint job. They have that beaded texture and shorter, fatter tail, plus the five-fingered hand is more in-line with a reptile than a salamander. Some online toy shops sell it as a 'red-spotted newt' but this is clearly their personal marketing label and not what Safari specifically intended.

| I think the hook-billed hermit, look at the tail. It is a kind of hummingbird sure but with a long tail. |

yes I think Susanne is correct; this is most-likely a golden pheasant. |

| Thanks for your help! For the Elastolin-Birds of the series "Birds of the World", I found the information papers of the species. As we identified them already, based on their colours, I now have also the informations of the papers from Elastolin. And Elastolin sureley wanted to present other figurines as those who we have identified I will translate the figurines of the " Weißkopfvogel", " Eremitenvogel" and " Goldfink": Eremitenvogel Nr. 189909: Identified as hook-billed hermit ( Glaucis dohrnii) The paper says: "Living the nothern seas and coasts of Asia and America and migrates in Winter in the Mediterrean Sea and Adria. Lenght: 30,5 cm. Food: Sand lance and lesser sand eel. Breeding in burrows of rabbits or Seabirds ( Puffinus), never on the sol" So Elastolin clearly wanted to present a seabird, not a colibri. Weißkopfvogel Nr. 190609: Identified as Chestnut-cheeked starling ( Agropsar philippensis) The paper says: "Living in North Africa, South of Spain, Korsica, South of Italy, Sardinia, Hungary, Bulgary, Romania and South Russia, this bird is found more and more in Germany, France or Czechoslovakia, too. Lenght: 46 cm. Living near ponds and lakes, breeding in reed beds. Duration of breeding: 24 days. So Elastolin wanted to present an mediterrean species, not a japanese bird. Goldfink Nr. 189809: Identified as Yellowhammer ( Emberiza citrinella) The paper says: "Living in different races from Europe to Asia and Siberia. Lenght: 16,5 cm. Prefers open land, agricultural-used fields and green ares near routes. Breeds in hedges and grasses. 2-3 breeds with 4-5 eggs per year" I am very sure, that Elastolin wanted to present our identified Yellowhammer |

From left ro right: 1. Congo peafowl (?) 2. Unknown Bird 3. Koklass (?) I see that besides the middle one that is so clearly a golden pheasant, nobody talked about the others. They're in my opinion an Himalayan monal and a Crested fireback pheasant. About the Elastolin birds, there is no seabird with this appareance, not even remotely. Maybe not a hummingbird but if it's a seabird is a so inaccurate one that you can call it whatever you want. Puffins and petrels nests in burrows. _________________ My collection:- (Details):

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] And this is an otter civet (if we forgive the too long tail) _________________ My collection:- (Details):

| About the Erimitenvogel: I think the pose, the figure himself and could be a hummingbird. And Erimit is a german word for hermit, and here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and Widukind For me, the identification as hummingbird works very well. A only wanted to show you what Elastolin had in mind. Myself, I don´t know which species they really wanted to represent as nothing really works when we utilise the paper. @Pardofels Thanks for the identification of the galliformes :) |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Got this fish: It´s from Bullyland and called "Angelfish". Although it has the same mold as the Bicolor Angelfish from Bullyland, I couldn´t find it in the cataloges. I only saw the picture on TAI with a group photo of the "Exotic Sea World" Range. As I´m totally no expert in fishes, could anyone identify it? If it´s not based on a real fish, I would say it could be a Shepardi Angelfish or Clarion Angelfish

| I would say a Clarion angelfish as that is how I'm identifying it when I get it from Widukind in October _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. | I have search for Adam but, i found no good match. But i can not believe that is a phantasie coloration, because all the other figures have a good paintwork. |

| I recently got a bunch of those vintage Hong Kong birds pictured in your second photo. I love them so much! Have not seen that Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher yet though. I'll have to keep my eye out for one of them. |

| The Himalayan Monal is the one on the right, not the left. The one on the left (not the right) is a fireback, but it doesn’t have a crest. Conveniently enough, there is a species called the Crestless Fireback. The one in the center is clearly a Golden Pheasant. I would really like these figures. I wonder which shopping site you found them on? |
