Wow, it's gorgeous! The appaloosa pattern also really suits this model. I hope Breyer makes this model in a similar colouring, and I might buy that one. Or I might just paint my own in a spotted blanket seeing as I don't like the original any more. Are you going to live show him? Quarter horses can have the leopard complex colours so no need to make up a cross-bred.

Which OF release do you have? This guy started out as the bay roan QH RR. Smile

I'm going to try showing him - can't imagine he'll do very well though. Think I'll stick him in as an appaloosa and see what happens. I'll probably get 6th out of 6 lol!

I have the same. It's forelock is disconnected from the rest of the head thought, so I also need to resculpt it. I'm thinking of painting him into a flaxen liver chestnut.

How so? Because of the colouring? If papers are needed to show the judges, just look up the horse Reminic In Spots. He is a fully registered quarter horse, no matter how much people complain about his colouring Razz

The mane on this one is starting to lift too Neutral

But it's easy to cover with the etched hairs Razz

I just don't think my work is good enough to compete with the horses everyone else has. Etchies just don't place against actual painted customs, at least in this region.

I love it so much. As it's been said your the quee of etchies. I really like this one. The pattern isn't unrealistic and it's easy to see you've put some effort in it. Totally worth it! Gonna keep him?

Wish this could be done on Schleich so I could order one from you haha

Thank you Jonas! I wouldn't say I'm the queen of etchies, there are much more talented etching artists out there, like Lindy Pinkham...

I wouldn't mind selling him actually. I'll see how he does in November at the show and go from there.

I can do Pebbles/Paddock Pal scales, which are the same as Schleich Wink

I really like how the spots follow the direction of the hair, especially near her flanks. Not everyone remembers to do that. Very Happy
