Great pics! I just have to get the stallion!  

Wonderful photos of the new fjord family.  Theese photos are the best I have seen until now. Even the mare looks nice with her strange looking semi-long cutted mane. I really hope my local toy store will get the new models very very very soon!

Well, the Fjords are Norwegian, we call them "Norbagger"  

I LOVE jyske heste ( Jutland )  ! I am Jysk, too   .
On a farm near to where I live they have 5 of these beautyful, huge, gentle giants , I can watch them for hours

You know, the Knabstruppers are Danish, too   

The Knabstrupper came from a leopard spotted mare of the 3rd well known Danish breed, the Frederiksborger.
They were one of the breeds that was used to create the Lipizzans : A powerful and elegant, mainly chestnut carriage horse.
Unfortunately the few remaining Frederiksborgers have been crossed with warmblood, so now they look like all the others

I have heard the word used in another way. In the old days Swedish boys was calling Norwegian boys "norbagger" when they crossed the border between our contries to find swedish girls. "Bagger" is a Swedish word and means "rams".    

I live close to the Swedish border and here the word is used generally about all Norwegians in a teasing way.

That is very interesting !!!! I had no idea why we call them Norbagger. It is not a Danish word at all   

But we have a kindly meant word for Icelandic horses : Isbukke ! That means Ice-Billy-goat   
Perhaps it was originally Isbagger, and as it sounds like Isbukker, we made it Danish that way ????
It could well be an old, common Nordic thing...perhaps we got it from Icelandic, which is a bit similar to old Norwegian ???     
Isbuk and Norbag, - Bucks/rams from Iceland/Norway...why not ???

Scandinavian jibberish is pretty epic. I am a decendent of a Norwegian King and part danish as well.
