What a fantastic "blue-silver-snow" colour.
The other one is mor like a Claybank-dun (smoky dun, Cream blue dun), but without the light sides on the mane and "feather in the tail.

Here is another unusual colour , only in an Icey

It is the old stallion Jarl, blue dun silver dappeled, born in Denmark and lives in Sweeden, - what a terrible result

Nice and Naughty - what are the names of the other two ?

Also, how big are they ?

Henry called the fjord and the gray named Silver wolfe

I wish I could afford them ! I am strictly a non decorator collector but I'd make an exception for those two

They are Traditional size so 1/9th. They are pretty small compared to other Traditionals as I think Breyer has gone with them being Pony size.

He must be quite heavy, - I searched Ebay, it costs 35 dollar to send him to Europe

Hmmm, he is not really that heavy so no idea why it costs that much. Maybe the weight of three Schleich models ?

He is 16cms tall and 21cms long.

I've found that Henry is getting harder and harder to find. I got my model about 3 years ago and I paid £35 for him, which was a lot for me ! I think I've seen maybe 7 for sale in the UK since and the price just goes up and up.

Wow! whether you have horses? I have one, Finnhorse. I love horses a lot, fjords is wonderful, other breeds are wonderful! <3

I love your Fjords, Susanne! I only have a few figurines. I have the Bullyland foal, but I need to round up all the others! I'm very intrigued by the Top-Toy! I cannot find ANY information about that line.

Anyway, here are a couple of my other Fjords. This is a Magpie, made in the UK. She is about Schleich horse size.

And this is an artist resin that was customized to be a Fjord. He is much bigger than a Schleich, more like a Breyer horse size.

That cutom painted horse if SO great, - they have clipped his coat, I can see. Yes, these small horses thend to have very heavy winter-fur, as they are adapted to icy cold climates, of course

The Magpies are a little hard to find as they are no longer made. When I first got the Fjord I thought it was a custom, but found out it actually was a regular run horse.

I enjoyed your photos of Gitte. What a lovely mare! :)

Let me tell you about Izzy and her Fjord characteristics. She is fine boned for a Fjord, which would make for nice riding horse, but she also has a VERY short and thick neck. She is very balanced at a trot, but we are working very hard to keep her from being so heavy on the forehand at the canter and over fences. So I guess as far as confirmation, she got a little of both old and new breeding!

Her markings are great though. She only has a very faint dorsal stripe...you can only see it really at the base of her tail...but the stripes! Her leg stripes are lovely in the summertime! It almost looks like a spider web across her knees.

I would love to see close up pictures of your Top-Toy Fjord. :)

Oh, I'm glad I've found that topic! I'm also a fjord fan!
I got in love with this breed after my visit to Norway, where I had an opportunity to ride one.

I really like your collection, and envy a bit on your Schleich fjords- I failed to find any:( Hope to get them one day.

It is so much fun that you go back and take old issues up again
Perhaps somebody else has something to contribute with now ?
