I hope you get the remaining ones, that's a great collection and as you know, I am one more waiting that you find extra fennecs! Laughing
I believe your son got disapointed with the penguin, I believe it is not the most exciting creature when we are expecting an orca or a shark, though, maybe next time, he finds a leopard seal once behind a penguin there's always one. Laughing

Thank you all for your kind words. Maybe the next time we get some as a treat, we'll get the three we need and a spare fennec. (We've been buying four yowies, one for each of us when we go down by the Walmart that sells them. Alas, sticking to a budget is a bit... restrictive. Very Happy )

Wishful thinking, but it is possible, even if not very plausible.

When I'm done getting them all (cross fingers), maybe I'll be able to list the spares as trades or something if my husband agrees.

Roger, you have a great sense of humor. I might try implementing that for Christmas. Any good leopard seals you'd recommend?

Thanks, I was also a kid and I was just trying an exercise of empathy. Very Happy
And see, how serious is my reply... here a fantastic leopard seal for Christmas, they're rare in toy shape.

Beautiful model, but probably a little bit fragile for a then almost 5 year old with a slightly less than careful, but eager to embrace life 2 and a half year old little sister...

Oh there's a Go Diego!Go! One.

Today, in the small kingdom of my apartment, King Bear welcomed the two newest additions into the family by royal decree. "Brittany" waved good-naturedly while "Blake" tried backing out of the picture at the last minute.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Now King Bear shall be lonely no more.  Hanging out with the polar or brown bears just wasn't quite the same.

LeeAnn was kind enough to send me an adorable CollectA rabbit.  The Yowie Rabbits were so excited they made a banner for their new friend (but one of them is camera shy and ran off).

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I like to think that was a pleased smile on his face.  He's been dubbed "Rubber". Yowie asked what they did up in Pennsylvania and Rubber excitedly started showing the Yowie how to snow board and sled as they started planning winter activities (ignoring the current 87 F/ 30 C weather outside).  I suspect I'm going to have to watch to make sure they don't hop out the door. sunny

Welcome to Michigan, now you're a cottontail. Wink Lovely pair and gift from LeeAnn, interesting to see the size difference of the ears when it is supposed that they represent the same species. Very Happy

Well, LeeAnn, you can now say you've influenced something.  I have a horse in my collection. And a couple fish from Replica Toy Fish Co.  (used thebigzoo.com, got a free-shipping deal and the fishies were on sale, so I thought I'd risk it to see if I actually liked them and the fish).  The mare just appeared out of nowhere in my shopping cart.

Not to worry, dear croc. We don't eat fish. Very Happy *gasp*  The horror, I know.  But that means there's more for you to eat! We wouldn't want our favorite crocodilian starving for lack of fish, now would we? pirat

(But you're right, the kids would probably adore tropical fish as well. Cool )

My only problem with them is that they don't float.  Better diving then floating toys. Which wouldn't bother ME too much except that I had to deal with a severely disappointed 4-year-old who was expecting them to float for some reason.  Thankfully I think we've resolved that matter.

So I went thru my Amazon wish lists the other day, meaning to prune them and I saw that the Noah's Pals snow leopard s were listed as "in stock" and I said, "pretty pretty please may I get them, pleeeeaaase?" to my husband. He sighed dramatically, so I promised I'd use them as a Christmas present. And he said "fine..."

And that's how my CollectA snow leopard cub came to welcome new friends.

NP:"Let me out!"
C: "Maybe if I try this..."

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

So Susanne I can be happy now that I missed out last time to you and your lighting network.

It is with much fanfare I welcome a gift from my husband into the family.  The blue giraffe had been off visiting his dinosaur friend, but they returned in time for the family photo.

Garth and Grace are lovely though a bit cobbled together, and substantially lighter in color than the prototypes shown on the box. Apparently I now collect giraffes since I have a herd.  Crocodile

My son kindly lined them all up for me.
