Apparently Schleich now listens to customers in this case.... you can suggest your Jungle animal and maybe it will be a EXCLUSIVE in the next years releases.

Thanks Karin for sharing that interesting initiative from Schleich.
I've sent already my suggestion, now that we know PV never made a dhole, I think Schleich could make a good work with it, though, any unusual animal needs a lot of support to be selected to a final poll.

That's definitley something good on Schleich!
Altought I think that a more common animal will win, I hope that all collectors will stay together, one uncommon animal is better that none!

I personnaly am hoping for a Sumatran Rhino.

Real toss up for me between bongo, banteng, nilgai, or blackbuck. But then looking at this thread gave me a whole bunch of ideas too.

I went for some termite mounds as I would love these for my anteater!

I suggested an okapi, the last Schleich model was way too big in comparison to the other wildlife so I would really love a smaller more detailed okapi to add to my collection! :)

I said I wanted a Sumatran rhino, a bongo, an okapi mom and baby, a harpy eagle, and a sloth bear.

I said anteater, and we do need one, but I didn't even think about a rhino, okapi, bongo, or sloth.

My suggestions-an Onager,Roan Antelope,Bharal,Banteng,Bushdog,Argali or Caracal.

Well, I thought I might convince schleich with arguments so here's what I typed at their website as a suggestion:

"I will suggest a small cat specie. Every kid knows tigers and jaguars live in the jungle but do they know ocelots, servals, caracals or golden cats? My suggestion is therefore smaller cat species like the ones I just named. Kids love cats so even though they might never have heard of it, they will like them probably. Also, as some of those are endangered, they will serve very good for educational purposes."

I suggested for a Green Anaconda and a Javan Rhinoceros

I have suggested a long list of animals, all animals that we have never seen before ore maybe only once with another ccompany. I also wrote that whatever they are going to make: if it is in the right proportion, with nice paintjob and passion it will be okey

I chose green anaconda too (we need more reptiles)!

In addition, I chose a rhinoceros hornbill. Lovely birds, they are!

What's unfortunate is that there's so many jungle type animals to choose from, but all suggestions so far are great. As long as it doesn't end up being another common species like a Jaguar (as the first suggestion was )

What was the list?

A binturong, quetzal, maki's from a different kind than ringtails,
green anaconda (stolen from trevok4)
a sloth a capibara, a fossa (we already had a cameleon so why not)
A toucan and a hornbill (any kind) a orange rooster bird (i don't know how to call it in englisch)
Maybe a capibara beiyng eaten by another animal.
Gekko's and last but not least;
a python from any kind a burmese ore tiger i dont care

Haha indeed, I just voted for a dhole, though it was hard to decide between the canine and a bongo.. But I did read some other great suggestions in this topic!

The problem is that we collectors know a huge range of animals so it is hard that we coincide in one of them to put it to be voted in the final list. So, these banal species choices will surely prevail. I hope nobody is suggesting pandas, polar bears, lions, there are already lots of them from Schleich and otehr companies, jaguar is a wonderful animal but hard to understand such choice in this initiative.
A dhole is just one among thousands of interesting species and it will look like a trivial fox to most customers. Maybe we could create a kind of lobby to vote in an unusual species and prevent that Schleich releases one more uninteresting species.

We should do that! The moment that the voting list is out, I shall post a link here :)
(If anyone else does that, no problem, the sooner, the better! )

If we all agree to vote for the most unusual animal in that list, then maybe we can work together at Schleich making an unusual specie
