Safari LTD New for 2020

Is that...a long tailed weasel figure? At last? Thank you, Safari Ltd, the time has finally come! It's not perfect, but the fact that it exists is enough to get me excited. Mustelid figures are so hard to come by, and they deserve so much more representation than they get. Besides that, I love the look of the wolf, fox, lion cub, and Deinonychus, and will almost certainly be picking those up as well. Probably the Mothman too, though I have no idea what shelf he'll fit in on.

It is so sad that they release such interesting species like Bush Baby and Sugar Glider, like the opossum years ago, are so big. I its trully unfortunate.

Another solid lineup from Safari! My favorites of the dinosaurs are the edmontosaurus and deinonychus, but I'm sure I'll get them all except for the shringosaurus which doesn't appeal as much to me. Also I really like the wolf and the warthog out of the modern animal offerings. Tree kangaroo and eagle owl are good too. I only wish they would have done a black-footed ferret instead of the weasel they went with-- but there's always next year. Also I think the Atlantic white-sided dolphin is meant to be a bit of a successor to the Monterey Bay Aquarium Pacific white-sided dolphin. I'm impressed that the toob anmals are all new sculpts instead of reusing existing toob sculpts. I don't know if I'm getting the Great lakes toob but I know I'd definitely go for all of them if they were made as regular-sized figures.

I'm happy there is a place, at least, where the Safari ltd bashing doesn't occur

Blaine is right, we are living an Animal toys collector golden age and Safari Ltd is a part of it, Hurray!

Always exciting to see the news- all seem to be well done. The Great Lakes toob has a great selection! I agree that it's interesting to see new sculpts for the African toob. The baboon especially stands out, and should display well with larger African wildlife. Deinonychus is very nice. I like the lips on the theropods for this lineup (I think this year's had them too). Incredible creatures are impressive; I'd love to see small versions of them. I really hope the paint on the wolf looks as good as this picture. If so, it will be the most realistic on the market for wolves this size. I'm curious about the size for some of the others...

I didn't think about that until reading this. It would have been great to either have a wolf or fishing spider transporting an egg sac, or a really colorful Argiope adult.

I really like this year's line up. I'm particularly looking forward to the fox, wolf, and deinonychus.

Mothman is wonderful, also Yeti and the Shringasaurus. Another great triassic creature. I also like the new Warthog. Definitely better than the old one. Fairy dragon is nice.
Good to see no horses.

I really love the Deinonychus, Sarcosuchus, catfish, bush baby, and sugar glider. Mostly looking forward to that Great Lakes Toob though- that's a must-have for me!

Could the new Salmon Life cycle represent the one from Chinook Salmon:

Yeah, that Shringasaurus is the highlight for me. And also have no use for horses ha ha

Yes, i like unusual prehistoric species. And the horses from safari are ugly as sin (few exceptions).

Well Safari Ltd. is saving my money nex year but thatcape buffalo and giraffe from south african animals toob are awesome... and maybe watusi bull because I´m into big hooves. But the rest is not that interesting for me... because of it´s scale also Sadly.

I'm disappointed that there are no new Ice Age figures (every year I keep hoping for a Columbian mammoth!), but I am super stoked for the salmon life cycle set and the Great Lakes Toob. Those will fit in my Canadian Ice Age collection extremely well!

my faves are the weasel and Great Lakes and South African toobs, Id love to see more toobs based on geographical regions coughEvergladescough. Im disappointed that we got no prehistoric mammal this year. Oberon looks a bit tipsy.

Nice to see the Great Lakes Toob was one of the earliest ones available; I eagerly anticipate seeing the pictures and sizes of the figures within it
