| Lately I show my homemade models in their respective "Show our yours" threads, but there is not a SUY for pigeons and doves so I create a new thread instead. Now the favourite columbiform of Advicot the Snow Pigeon! For this figure I wanted to make it showing the splendid design of the tail. But pigeons do not normally shows the tail open, except in flight. And I wanted to avoid this species in flight. Then what was the solution? Well, pigeons also show their tail when preening. So I wanted to do a preening snow pigeon! The posture was not exactly as I wanted (tried to get the head much more closer to the back), but still it's a plausible position. | Ohh wow! I just love how it is to scale, and for a model that is so small, you have done so much detail and the painting is so realistic! And I love the pose, and also a very interesting species- and it fits so well with the other animals! |

| Thanks a lot everybody! You're lovely! I like the painting, that is indeed realistic, and the wings was well done, however the head, the back and the tail are not so good. I try to do my models more or less in scale with my other animals, but that's not possible since the other animals are not in scale themselves (imagine a fox as big as a snow leopard!) _________________ My collection:- (Details):

| Pose and painting are really beautiful! Riding a takin must be fun. Actually, your idea of a SUY for columbiformes is very good. I am only afraid we don't have many figures to show. Though, dodos are very popular and it could be a great place to show them. If you ask Susanne, our SUY Queen, I am positive she will find it a good idea. |

| I think creating new SUYS are an outdated thing on STS because with all the already existent SUYS we cover almost all kind of figures. If there are any groups left, they will have few variety to choose, like the pigeons and doves category. A good SUY to create would be for small carnivores, there is one for weasel family, but nothing for f. e. mongooses and civets. _________________ My collection:- (Details):

| Oh, the other birds are less detailed, nothing very special. But I can rescue the photos I've published before in my homemade thread: The grandala: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The wallcreeper: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]_________________ My collection:- (Details):
