Very funny, and the perfect name for this dog! It definitely brightened a rainy day here too!
This Great Dane is so beautiful. perfectly sculpted, so powerful and calm- it really shows how this breed is a gentle giant! Your photos show this model so well, I love the last one of him on the sunny rock!

Here is the Safari IC green moray eel. Several years ago I visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium, a place I like very much and try to visit every few years. They had a marvellous giant oval/columnar tank in the middle of the floor. I approached and this beautiful large moray appeared out of his landscape hidey hole and began to swin around in circles around the perimeter of his tank. He was marvellous, so pretty, and the snakelike swimming motion was mesmerizing to watch. Even better, he seemed to be friendly as he followed me around the room as I looked at a few of the other tanks. I spent a good amount of time with him or her because the animal was just fun to watch and see and "visit" with. I have had a fascination with all eels but especially morays since. I won't forget that experience as I won't forget the one I had as a child there but with some weedy/leafy seadragons.

Wonderful model. I have the smaller one from Safari. How large is the bigger version?

Nice moray but definitely too big for me. Is the mentionned "smaller version" as qualitative ?

The smaller moray is bendable and rubbery material. Less detail because of it. The larger model has a lot more detail and texture etc.

So I have been working on a new bookcase display and moving models around etc. etc. Finally I feel that it is good enough to share! (Not highly detailed close up photos just overall display ones).
First is my farmlife display. I plan on making a wall hanging display for my goldfish sometime.

That meant that dogs could move to the bigger bookcase and cats could join them.

Reptiles got to be reunited!

Oceania and South American Fauna moved into the old dog display.

Africa got to spread out a little to make more room

Birds have always been my hardest display to get it to where I felt I liked it. This is the first time in ages I like it and feel that it is organized etc.

And lastly my wall hanging small temperate mammals also got more room to roam.

What a fantastic display, I love the way you've divided them up by type of animal, not brand of figure, it's fascinating looking through the pictures like a walk around the room. I'm so used to seeing only horses, I absolutely love the variety here.

You do the same Add Extra Shelves Into Bookcases thing that I do, cos the standing space is needed more than the height!

Your collection is incredible and looks so well organized! I love the little shadow box like shelf with a single fish in each box. That looks very nice, if not very practical for a large collection.

Is that mother opossum with babies the only Virginia opossum model made? I never see any, and I see she is by herself there! I have a little Hagen-Renaker, but none in plastic.

Thanks Jill! Unfortunately yes that is the only Virginia Opossum made, an Incredible Creatures model done by Safari. I hope to see more one day given they are unique as North America's only marsupial! Maybe someday...

Ohhhhh wow just seeing all those dogs again!! The perfect motivation to keep revising for the exams this week! I would just love to be able to spend hours looking through each shelf! It is just such an amazing, varied, beautiful collection- I really could write another essay but I think my last one summed up how much I love seeing your dogs!

Impressive stuff! Perhaps the best thing is that you still have empty shelves, so you can collect more!

That's all absolutely fabulous! I wonder all the time you dedicate to display your collection in such a neat way. It surely worth a lot, seeing something like this is magical!

That's just a detail and I understand why you thinnk it is an Incredible Creatures model. It has a generous size and actually it is a perfect species for that series. Though, it is from the Wild Safari North American Wildlife series. My favorite series of Safari Ltd.

Wonderful displays! I was lucky to see a Virginia Opossum on holidays in Florida-someone had one as a pet-not sure I agree with that-but it was wonderful to see one close up!

Taos, These opossums are amazing and so so unique. Wonderful that you got to experience one so close up! (Though like you I generally don't agree with owning wild species and treating them as pets).

Making changes to our showcases is the best thing in the world.
moving the figures from one side to the other is wonderful.

And in the end everything looks very organized

Raccoon is WSNA while armadillo is an Incredible Creature.
