Carolynne has show us her collection of sheep, and I got the idea it could be fun to see all the kinds of sheep that we have in total.

I start with two sets of sheep that I like very much :
The elder ones from Papo, and the ones from Reisler.

The latter must be 50 or 55 years old. You can see some red marks on them. It is my Mom`s nailpolish. I marked MY figueres so my playmates could not say they were not mine  Laughing

Papo :

Reisler ( The lamb to the left is also Reisler, but made much later) :

Does anybody have other sheep to show ?  Very Happy

I love this Papo family. They're so silly! I have to get the ram still. The lamb is one of my top favorites - he looks so confused!

The rare demon-possessed sheep by Reisler, plotting to cause mayhem and destruction, as soon as they can figure out how to pick up the giant match:

Mojo, Schleich, ELC lamb and Britains.

I covet your Britains!
That ELC Lamb is truly one of my favorites. It's one of the most realistic of all lambs, if not the most. The ELC Ewe on the other hand, looks like a basset hound with wool. cyclops

Thanks Carolynn cheers yes the elc lamb is realistic - I wish the other elc sheep were as good.
I love Britains, the sheep are really cute and I love the shepherd, even though he's a bit worn. bounce

The expression on the Papo ram is wonderful!

In our part of the world, the two main cash crops are Sheep and Tourists. In our collection, there are a lot of Sheep, so this will take some time. To start with, here are some ancient metal Sheep from Lesley's childhood, mostly made by Britains Ltd.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Common Sheep: Ram at left.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Special breeds. Left to right after shepherd: Exmoor Horn Ram; Exmoor Horn Ewe; Hampshire Down Ram.

The lambing shepherd and his boy with part of their flock.

The labing shepherd is really busy, all the lovely lambs
And you say you have still more ?

I love it that you can also mention the breeds of sheep, you are wonderful collectors.
I think we are very lucky to have you two in this forum sunny

Ha, ha, yes those retired Papo sheep are SO funny, I adore them Laughing

Ken, such beautiful flock, thank you for sharing!
I love your Bullyland ewe and lamb. Their paint is wonderful. Please think of me if you ever decide to sell them! Very Happy
I love the Safari ram and ewe. It's so unusual for anyone to have done a "heads up" breed, that I adore these two. This board is inspiring me to try my hand at remaking a model, and I think I will start with this pair. All they need is to fix their ears and they'd be nice Kerry Hill Sheep, I think. Fix the ears and build up their noses and they could be Blueface or Border Leicesters. Actually, they could be worked into a lot of breeds.... study
