SCHLEICH Gascher's Collector Guide

Do anyone know wether Gascher's will make a new edition of their Collector Guide in 2012???
It would be cool if you could help me!! :)

That could be good news if Gascher made this new catalogue, but it has to be much better then the previous one!

Agree 100%, Willy. Maybe they should submit the galleys for it to this forum so we can all fact-check and scan for completeness...

I am sure there has been A LOT of ideas for improvement.
Mr. Gascher actually asks for them in the prologue.
So 1000s of collectors have sent him ideas through the years, I am sure.
I sent several, and had the impression that most of it he had heard so many times before, that he was getting almost desperate

Yes, I think if they get rid of the market price quotations, add the years of introduction and retirement, and make sure everything is fact-checked, it would be 100% better. Of course, we would all love to see variants included, but that would be an impossible task for anyone, given the very large number of Schleich variants. The best thing about the guide, IMHO, are the outstanding figurine photos.

When the new edition is published, I will plunk down my $25 or so to get one, as will everyone else...

I really want to get my hands on one of these collector guides. Should I not get the current one and wait it out for a new one?

There are SO many Schleich figures and I would love to have a resource to see them all together and know the dates they were produced.

Well, I would get the present one if I were you.

It won`t harm to have both guides, - and we don`t know if the new one comes in the autum.
That sort of things tend to be delayed , in my experience

Untill the new one is here, you can always use the small catalogues ( 2010 and onwards) to see the more recent models.

Good Lord! That is not how I meant it!

In the real horse world usually when someone convinces another that they NEED to buy a new horse, they are an enabler. The enabler helps to justify the purchase. It's not that you want a new horse, but that little horse NEEDS you.

It's kind of a joke, I think. I'm sorry. I truly meant it in an endearing (good!) way!
