When i started to buy schleich it was because i loved it for my son. now i've bought a catalog and found out that i've bought animals from one year before the where sold. or even the don't have a year on them. Did i payed to much? Can i sell them on ebay as real schleich? (are there fakes?) How can i see the differends between real and not?

| Hello!
When you look underneath the belly or bottom of the modell, u will find the country where it's made and also the brand of the animal. This is the best way to reconize them :)
---------
Hallo!

| Hi, Pam, Stay a while here with us at the forum, and you will never consider selling your nice models The very old models did noy have the year they were made on them. The year shown is usually ( always, I think) the year the mould was made, so they did not come for sale or in the catalogue untill the year after. An example : The appaloosa horse 13271 has 2002 on it, and was made (sold) from 2003 - 2007 |

| Hi Pam! Welcome to the forum. By far the best way for you to get information about the figurines that you have is to post pictures of them here. There are so many of us who will be delighted to give you lots of information (more than you would ever want, probably) about each model. I'm quite serious when I say that there are some people on this forum that know as much about Schleich as anyone out there knows (I am not one of them, but they are here). And they will be delighted to help you. - Pam77 wrote:

from one year before the where sold. or even the don't have a year on them. Pam Susanne answered this question above. The year on the animals is the year the mold was made and is usually one year prior to the year the model was released. - Pam77 wrote:

But posting some clean pictures of them from different angles, here on the forum, is the best way to find out. One way to handle selling them on eBay is to make sure that you post several pictures of the same model, from different angles, on eBay. In this way, you can help assure any prospective buyers that they know what they would be purchasing. |

Yes ! We are a very helpful bunch here Another good idea to get a good price on Ebay, is to offer international shipping, - AND accept PayPal. Bank transfer is very expensive from countries that do not have Euros Hmmm..one more good idea is to put many items for sale, one in each auction. Then prospective buyers can pick and choose, and perhaps save a small fortune by combined shipping What did I forget ??? |
