Schleich Tigress '03 repaint

My fiancé bought me this Schleich retired tigress recently and I decided that I should buy for her a tiger. It was really hard to find a figure that is no longer available, but I was lucky enough to find a white one on an auction. To make them match each other, I had to repaint both of them. Because I wait for the delivery, I decided not to waste time and start to repaint the tigress. So there she is.

Wow good job! I like it very much.

She is GORGEOUS

I like the style, with clear colours . Tigers have amazingly clear colours.
Also I LOVE it that you do not make the horrible black dots for whiskers, that many brands do.

Thanks for comments guys :) I resigned from dots as they were just ugly The holes made for them are deep enough to make a shade for whiskers :)

this is great! may I ask, did you paint on all the stripes with a brush? or did you apply the color (paint? ink?) in some other way?

I've received a tiger and I repainted the couple again :) I've added some shadings on their bodies and I will correct them a bit tomorrow, I'm too tired to do that today. I spent the whole day painting those guys. Bad thing is that they are too orange in my opinion, my paints just went much darker when they dried than I expected. Not proud of my work at all.

I think both works are very good, if you are not completely happy with them it is good once it means that you are sure you can do even better. You are very talented, looking forward to see more repaintings!

I agree with Roger. They are both wonderful-looking to me. But it is natural to have high standards about your own work and want to improve. (Still, they really look great!)

I've just ordered soft pastels, so I think I will repaint this couple again next week. This orange makes me crazy.

I love that orange colour! These figures can not be 100% realistic because of their molds but the new painting is *really* good. Congratulation!

but if it drives you crazy, maybe you should repaint it. then we'll get to see a cool new repainting!

Here they are. At last I've managed to get a colour that I wanted. Shaded with pastels. I don't like the sripes at all, but in my opinion they aren't so bad. I hope you will like them.

Your tigers are beautiful, too orange or not ! They match well together and they have a fine style.
