Again, I wished our mini lovers were more active in this thread but you're doing a fantastic work sorting these cats.
The yellow farm cat is a kind of peculiar thing about the Play Visions set and if it ever existed, it may be an identifying feature of this particular set.
It could be a decision based in the fact that #8 and #9 offered by the manufacturer are so alike, thus Play Visions prefered a different color version of the Farm #23 instead of two alike cats in the same series. But it is hard to tell.
Thus, I followed your suggestion and now the #8 on Play Visions set is the Brown Birman and the newer one is on Club Earth set. I added a note on PV Birman page and listing like that allows us to present different pages to two very different versions.
About the Abysinian, I haven't listed it yet and I surely don't have an opinion about it. Laughing
The fact you've found the unmarked is #3 gives to me the perception that it is really from these sets. Why is it not marked with a breed I don't know.
I listed it as a British Shorthair but the green eyes are consistent with the Russian blue so I will fix it and put a note they're not identified.
Please could you check if I placed these #3 cats correctly?
Susanne's Siamese deserved to be revisited. Wink
Oh, you're close from completing your series. I believe you're having fun and that's the most important when we enjoy collecting these figures regardless of their collecting value.

Honestly, my sight is not good enough to see what's inside that circle, I can see it is not a pegasus. Laughing Nevertheless, I see you are thinking correctly and it all makes sense. A cat #23 being part of a set of 24 Farm set. It is important also to consider the horse or a dog when listing these models, if they have numbers up to 12 it may generate some confusion.

Thank you, Andreas :)

You're welcome. i am sure we will work dogs and horses later. Better now to put the focus on these cats.
The page I am providing is from a Play visions catalogue almost 10 years before the purchase of Club Earth. Play Visions sold their branded and better quality cat bulk so naturally those were of a cheaper quality. The fact those you show are better finished and use the same moulds but in different colors, also corroborates to the idea that these are not those sold by Play visions but by another brand, likely Club Earth.

Okay, that is really fascinating and also a little confusing, haha. I think I get it, and I think what I'm going to say I'm collecting is the molds like this - not necessarily a specific brand!

Taking a closer look on a desktop instead of my phone, I see that the first greenish-colored domestic shorthair and the somali are both represented on this catalogue in that color, so they must be part of this Play Visions set, while the rest are probably from that possible Club Earth set you are talking about.

Before I get lost, I think I will list your pictures on TAW as Club Earth Cats To Go set, noting they need official confirmation and also as they are a set of 12 models. I am not 100% convinced about that #23 although I know the horses were sold in boxes of 12 and 24.

Neat! :) Oh, I didn't know the horses had sets of 24. I haven't seen a horse number beyond 12 yet. Interesting!! I wish I could see what the cat in the photo that's in the same Cai mold has for a number.

Thank you all. I am glad you find the info useful :). Tackling these unnamed butterflies and caterpillars is challenging.

Also, upon further examination of other figures, I am pretty sure now [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is indeed a variant of Graphium weiskei (it looks more like the Club Earth and its knockoffs). That there are two version of this species, in combination with duplicated numbering systems, makes me think there were two sets of 12 rather than one large set of 24.
