I don't think so. I saw the new one in a store and it was quite different than the old one. I think that's another case of consistency. But, anything's possible with Schleich!

Hmm.. I dont agree with you   I think the original models is just the same, but they only made some differences.. Like chestnut mare 2001 and appaloosa stallion 2013

That's true! They're both really beautiful mares!

I saw the Bayala when I went into a shop the other day and notices it was a reuse of the appaloosa.
I did not find any appaloosas to take a photo together with it though. So no original pictures from me x)

The 2016 mustang stallion looks a lot like my old pinto stallion they retired last year. The head looks exactly the same.

Yes, the elf horses are repainted moulds with little more attachment.

But the hafling mare and the camargue mare? Seriously? These ones are different.

Clever Scheich, the most easiest and cheapest way to get money, the only thing the compan yis interestersted in.

2 questions:

African Black Rhino 14394 and Rhinoceros 14743, are they the same?

and also

13640 Simmental Bull and 13763 Hereford Bull, are they the same (just with a little different paint?) They're not even supposed to be the same breed?

Tusen takk, Susanne! No wonder I've been confused about these, do I have them or don't I, I had only one, so both were true!
I can sort of understand that they do a remake of a model when it's the same one like the rhino, but the bulls are supposed to be two different breeds, then they could have put a littlemore effort into making them different!

Yes, - it is surely cheating...especially because the Hereford should be a much more heavy and shaggy breed

Welcome to the world of nowadays Schleich

As everybody knows in 2016 Schleich has launched four rider sets. They are:
42288 - eventing rider
42111 - competition rider
42112 - western rider
42113 - amateur rider

All horses sound so familiar for me. I found the first horse, the one which is contained in the eventing rider, is de hannoverian mare. But what is about the others?

I have checked all schleich horses and I haven't found anything. For me, the horse which is in the western rider set is quite similar to the Baskir Curly Mare (13780) with few changes as the diagonal trot, the position of the head and the leg marks. Also, I found similarities with the competition rider horse and the Arabian Mare, although this model has more changes than the western one. Finally, I think they based on the Icelandic Horse Mare 13708 (the one which is retired) to make the horse of the amateur rider set; again with some changes.

What do you think? Are they really new models?

I think it is quite strange to make four new sets - one of them with an "ordinary" horse (the hanno mare) and the other three with new horses, isn't it? Maybe they are two different lines, because the three sets with new horses have correlative number series (42111, 42112 and 42113) and the eventing rider set hasn't.

I'm also afraid that they will launch these three models as ordinary horses in 2017 without rider and now I'm paying more (really more than the double) for them - because I'm just interested in horses, no riders.
