Chap Mei porcupine, squirrel monkey, chimp and zebra!

today i received a small package from Taiwan. Two of my most wanted animal figurines. Take a look:

Aaaargh ! I get a heart attack

The porcupine is THE top of my wishing list !

Where on earth do you find them ???????

...Congrats Torben! I have them too! On my opinion the model of such rare figurine as porcupine is the best for today (look at the nice spines!). But it it,s not some accurate too (I say it special for Christoph! ), because the muzzle of this porcupine is some like a "bear" or "dog"...

There is another porqupine but I don't know who makes it. I have one but I don't see any name or markings on him that would indicate a brand.

And the desert-lynx (or whats it called) is high on my wich list too.

Congratulations Torben! Chap Mei does make some good figurines, although not always accurate indeed, but that doesn't matter...

The normal name for the desert lynx is caracal Anna...
Lineol made already porcupines long bfore...

It's nice when a figure have a educational pose, this chimp show how aggressive they are!!!

Zebras ARE ( or can be) very fierce, though. I used to know an old man who had worked for a circus for many years. He said he would rather sleep with tigers than clean out by the zebras !!!

I´m not surprised an animal who lives in a circus is agressive... If you know how are they trained you´ll understand this very well. That´s why I hate circus with animals.




About the figurines... I just love the ungry zebra :)

About the figurines... I just love the ungry zebra :)

...About schimp... It,s natural pose of chimp from Nature. It,s maybe - agression, panic, despair... The schimps has very rich facial expression... :)

I never like circus too!

Circus was and is a very hard job. I have really great respect for the artist. Some of them are since many generations in the circus. If they do yobs with domesticated animals like horses in the manege, i think it´s still ok. But i hate all yobs with wild animals, they have nothing to do in a circus.

Really like that striped hyena!
