| Finished! The buckle on the throat latch needs to be finally closed. After I fixed that I will need a hidden cut somewhere so I can remove it from the head.. | I have to look back through your pictures. The horses are beautiful and their accessories are so complex and so tiny! _________________ - Andy

Finished my first resin ever, a cute classic size Union Jack. He is sooo delicate!! Those thin legs, I was so afraid of breaking him… He belongs to a good friend who asked me to paint him. So I did. :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Union Jack by Allereirau, on Flickr [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Union Jack by Allereirau, on Flickr And he has a tiny brother [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Union Jack + little Brother by Allereirau, on Flickr

Thank you LeeAnn! It was a interesting experience! I was really worried of getting brush strokes while priming him (I used paint-on primer). I was looking for spray primer but was not sure if it would cover some of these fine details (he has cute eye lashes!!) After all, it was not that difficult but I was worried the hole time I might drop him somehow.. you know, this resin is sold out. Not easy getting a replacement.. just in case… I think I prefer painting my own models!

Haha, I'm painting a resin medallion right now and that's bad enough! I can't imagine how scary it would be with a little baby foal! I bought a raw DaCaprio and I'm debating whether or not to paint him myself... I don't know if it's available in Germany but I use Tamiya primer and it's very fine, a little pricey but well worth it I think. Worked well on my medallion.

I believe you! This foal has such long thin legs.. and I had to prepp them a bit too. Scary, sanding them…. Thank you for the tip with tamiya. I think they are available here too. Have to take a look!
