Susanne's Bullyland additions

Susanne, your Bullyland threads always make me appreciate Bullyland more and more. They have such charm. Congratulations on the new additions!

That elephant calf is such a lovely piece with great details like the trunk and the folds. Much better than the static previous version. Actually, his father is a very good piece, better than most of the other adult elephants of major brands.
I also enjoy the face of the ram, intraorbitral area and snout look very well done. Your pig has an excelent pose for a rhino.

Some excellent models again! I'm becoming a fan!
Indeed, the sheep has such a great face  Very lifelike, first it was a bit funny but maybe b'cos I've ever seen that well sculpted face with a sheep.   They're both really nice. Big congrats Susanne

YESSSS !!!! I got them  

When these models were in the catalogue in 2012 as part of the "Alpenweld"-series, I found them so ugly that I did not buy them  
But later, as I had all the other models from the series, I decided to get them after all.
The problem was, that I could not find them anywhere !  

After some time I found out, that they had been so bedly recieved by the distributors, that only the test-run was ever made !
At Bullyland they were not even in the system, - some even claimed that they did not exist  
What collector can resist such a challenge ?  

At long last, through google - I found them in Austria

The hikers : Daddy Hannes, Mom Anna and their son Julian  


Actually they have many nice details, but also some very bad flaws.

Hannes is a real nice model, but unfortunately he may have visited a mountain Bierstube, because he keeps falling over  




Poor man, he is stydying his map...


...but it does not make much sence to him  


Mom does not notice anything, she is just chatting about the heavenly, fresh mountain-air, aaaaahhh  




Hannes is pulling a sturdy, heavy wooden trolly up and down the mountains..


While Anne has a little purse with her lipstick and her cell phone tied round her wrist 


Their son, Julian, is jumping around with his water bottle


Right now he is smiling...


...but with those shoes, he will soon have the first blisters. And there is a LONG way to walk till they find their way  


Perhaps it is good after all, that they brought the trolley. Hannes may have to pull Julian all the way back

Perhaps Hannes is so confused because he's looking at the wrong map. Maybe Anne has the right one in her pocket, but is amused and waiting to see how long it will be before Hannes admits he brought the wrong map. And someone gave Julien too much sugar.

It is great that you've found them. I think we can think in a lot of stories with them exactly as you did. My favorite is the lady with her glasses hanging and the kid is the strangest to me. Ah, tell the man that the map is upside down.

I will start a topic about size comparisons of Bullyland ( the ones I have ) as soon as I have time.
Many look so similar at first glance, and it makes collecting them VERY difficult . An surely not less now that they have made a line where the models have just been down-scaled

A while ago, Kristie showed her new hippo calves, and I discovered that there is one from Bullyland, which I had not spotted before .  
It may not sound so strange ?
But it IS strange !
Making tables for TAI, I have ploughed through Bullyland's catalogues so many times, that they are almost worn to shreds  

Well, short story short, - in the small pictures, I had not seen the differnece between these two large youths with open mouth  

Here is the one that has been in my collection for a long time : Item no 63572, made from 2005 - 2008 :




And my ne baby : Item no 63617, made from 2009 - 2013

The two dryads are from Bullyland, and the three ladies became friends as soon as they met on my piano
