2014 Mojo Zebra, Male Lion, Cheetahs

I recently received the Mojo Zebra (3), new male lion and the male and female cheetahs. I am a fan of Mojo but am a little disappointed in the Zebra paint job. The stripes must be sprayed on as the white areas of the animal are smudged black from the stripe color. You really cannot see it in the photos. I really like the cheetahs stance but the orange color and the too-big of size compared to the lion is not great.  I like the lion and its size, but he is very thin so it could be a lion during lean times...

Something about the zebra's head is bugging me, I don't know what. I do like his body though, he'd make a nice customizing victim I'm sure.

The cheetahs are wonderful models, - but again the paintwork is not too good...the sculpturing is great, though, - as is the lean lion

These photos really helped me to decide which figures I will add to my collection. Again, the paintwork is -as usually- the weakest point of Mojo figures. From my point of view the zebra is not the top but acceptable, I like the lion but definitely not the cheetahs on steroids. These have the same boring monochromatic base-colour like the thylacine, the white tail tip can not change the cheap-looking impression.

In my opinion lion is close to perfection, I love Papo figures but their more impressive style doesn't mean they're better. Not too lean for my taste, actually, I don't like chubby lions although they ressemble those from zoos. In pictures of lions in the wild they are almost always very lean, often leaner than Mojo's version.
I cannot say anything positive about cheetah painting, if I was from Mojo, I would prevent animals with complex pattern, as long as the factory cannot provide them with an acceptable quality. Sculpting of cheetahs is excelent and they are big but not too much, a cheetah average 90 cm high at shoulders, the average size is much closer to the maximum size than the minimum. So, adulte cheetahs are often large creatures. They're very slender what makes them average sized cats. 90 cm in 1:15 scale means 6 cm (almost 2 1/2 inches). I have the figure and I can warrant that it is not much taller.
About zebra, it doesn't matter how good is the sculpting when painting is not realistic enough, though, the sculpt is clearly an improvement when compared with previous version.
I'd love to see a comparison thread between the Mojo lion and the current Safari lion.

I think the zebra's head is too angular? I dunno, something about it bothers me too. Congrats, the size of the cheetahs surprised me too. I like them all though. Congrats on your newbies.

I think the neck is a tad too long and I'm not a fan of the ewe neck either. The head is too short and too thick. But again I really like the body and might have to pick one of these up for a custom project.

Same here... zebra´s paintjob is not good at all for me. I like the sculp (mostly) but stripes are really bad :/
Cheetahs are real dissapointment for me Their paintjob is and they are little big for my taste... Lion is the king :)

I agree with you. As I saw her I was like wow nice zebra! Maybe bcos she's really is looking a bit like a horse with stripes
Your suggestions to make this guy better are good! Someone should try to customize her?
