Repainting a TIGER in ``Kosta`s style`` :D

Sorry, I couldn`t work on it this weekend...but today I`m back again :)
So, I`m starting with the most importand part , the head :)

12. First I`m gonna work on the eyes, becouse they are more deeper..and also delicate part,..and if I let them unpainted till the end, then will be more difficult to do that, without spoiling the other colors.
In original, the eyes were blue, becouse the model was white tiger.... now they are yellow, green and brown, for our orange tiger.
So first, I did the black part, around the eye..and then I made the colors for the eye.
First, I painted with the light color, which I made with ochre, white and green colors.
Then, I made more dark color for the apple of the eye, which is with more green , ochre, brown and less white... and then I put the black color for the iris of the eye :



I`m sorry for this bad photo..I hope , you can see it so so :)

Beautiful eyes, they have very deep colour!
Will you later cover them with glossy varnish? And, do you also use some metallic paints while painting them? (like gold or silver, etc)

Yes, like you gave me this advise before..I`ll follow and I`ll make them glossy at the end :)
I didn`t use metallic paints... only the normal one :)

And you're just like you read my thoughts, cause I'm thinking about painting in this time exactly. I thought start to try at those holidays or after my examens

His nose has also had the right colour now, hasn't it ?

I`m happy, that you like the eyes Susanne..and I love your description of them
When I make them glossy..they will look much more better :))
Actually , I didn`t work on the nose yet...it is still with his original color..but it`s made it quite good, so I will just make the black around him better :))

Now, next step for the head..

13. White, base color for some places on the head.
Again I`ll note, that my white it`s not a pure white from the tube...something, that I know it`s not possible for you, to see in my photo...but  this white color is mixed also with ochre and brown.
Of course, the white color is much more then the others.. :



14. Second base color. It`s lighter then the dark base color...with more ochre and white on it :



Just to note, that the head still needs a lot of work on details, before the strips...these are just some base colors, which I need :)

But I`m always lake that...every time I want to show everything , the best I can.. :)
very soon I`ll start with the strips,..just to finish the base color on the head :)

Ok, I`ll not let you to wait more..
Today was a painting day for me, so..
I`m ready with the base colors for the head... and actually the whole body :)
So let me show you, my next step..

15. All base colors are ready . Let`s first check the head :



As you can see, now we have a new ears, new nose ( I deside to change the color) and more colors on the face..







Now the tiger become alive...:) And he spoked to me...or actually, he growled to me : `` Hey, where is my strips maaan...hwo stole them...?!? ``

Ok, let`s see him, ready for strips, with small walkaround :

Thank you for asking Anasta :) Yes, I used dry brush, but only on some places, like the part from the eyes, to the nose.
But on the other plases, the brush was not dry. I just used, very small one..and I drown some extra hair..and like this, the colors are poured into each other :) I hope, you understood me.. :)

Interesting, your middle work pictures can give great ideas to those that try to find a color to a prehistoric feline. Like other members commented, , you make it look really nice even before finished. That's surely because you have a very artistic sense and also an accurate aestetic sense.
I hope you can give back the strips to your tiger, it is not good a big boy like you to steal strips without permission!

...And I am totally happy, and full of energy to continue with the walkaround...after these so nice, and positive words from all of you :))
