| Hi Costi!. For nothing bothers me if you give me some tips on modeling hair, and your opinion !!. I recognize that imitate the hair of this animal is complicated (dreadlocks on the lower part and fine hair tip above) and these details you indicate me I may be immersed in the work I am not aware of them. The figure is already hardened but see what I can do ... Thank you very much! _________________ Miguel [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Likaon - Wildlife Models Shop http://www.likaonmodels.com/ My homemade models : www.signatustudio.com

| Miguel, great yak sculpture, thanks for sharing. After the sculpey is baked you can always carved in to it with a sharp tool and create more delicate details. I often do this to get very controlled fine wrinkles, but it would work the same for fur or hair. After carving I use a stiff brush and paint over with 90% isopropyl alcohol and this soften the details to a very natural look (even after the clay is hard and baked). You can also add more clay as sculpey can be baked many times. not just once. |

| This is a very exciting sculpt. I've not had much time to model recently but this makes me miss it a lot and inspires me to get back to it! Looking forward to the finished photos!!! |

| this is amazing!
i have a couple questions, are you using sculpy firm? did you use a wire armature inside? i always struggle getting the basic shapes down and building on them without accidentally pushing it out of proportion. And how are you working so that you don't get fingerprints or dents in the model? great work! |
