Thank you for posting this! I'm glad to see she doesn't have the pear-shaped body that many of Deborah's sculpts have. This is definitely an American Percheron - I do prefer the heavier French type but that's just me. The hooves look a little large even for a draft, but that's easy to fix on a CM. I'll stop rambling, thanks for your work and beautiful photos

Unfortunately not This is the first Percheron in my collection. But if anyone who is reading this thread has both of them, please show us the picture!

I have a question (becouse I'm not that familiar) .. are the hooves, that big in real Percheron Mare ?

I think the hooves are a little bit too big. I don't know why Deborah, who is in my opinion an amazing sculptor, did this. But well, everyone does mistakes, and I think it can be forgiven, especially when it comes to such talented people :)

I am not an expert on percherons, but here are some pictures of the real percheron:

I think hooves are not very big problem they are slightly too big but it doesn't look bad. The only thing I would really like to see changed in this sculpture is making the girth area deeper, body and hindquarters a bit bigger and shoulders also a bit bigger. The body seems undersized for head and legs size, even for American Percheron Especially girth and shoulders areas look too small.

Yeah, Anna is right for the other points too...
but with this so charming head..I think, we can forgive all other shortcomings :)

The last two pics are French percheron which are stockier than the new American style percherons.

And I agree with you about the hooves. But I can see one more mistake in this mare: too long legs. This is infinite Deborah's mistake. All her horses have too long legs

I have to say I disagree on the leg length. If this model was representing a French type Percheron, then yes, the legs would be too long. But the legs are nearly perfect for an American type Percheron.

I don't deny your point, I'm not real horse expert. I even didn't know that Percherons have two types
But I'm repeating: almost all Deborah horses have long legs. It looks very nice and beautiful, I like horses with long legs. But when you constantly see the same proportions, it seems obviously that there is something wrong.

MPV has figures late this year but they said that CollectA has packaged the figures and send them to MPV so we'll be able to see them soon :)
