| Three figures, one of which is virtually identical to one already released.
I never collected the pet series but nonetheless a set this small and lazy is disappointing for me, particularly after no CQ animal releases in July or August and so many sequels, small sets, and repeated species throughout the year. |

| Not the most interesting set but I think it has some interest. They could easily include a long-eared hedgehog once these are also common as pets but never released as toy figures, Ii guess. The marsupial is probably the most interesting. |

| Yes great offerings this year, in my opinion Kaiyodo produces the best sculptures out of any company, just very accurate and nicely painted. Its good to see them releasing larger animal models such as the African elephant, gorilla and panda vs the normal tiny capsule models. I hope this trend continues.
The warthog is interesting because they actually bend down like that when grazing. |

| The series 6. Are they fridge magnets? I ask because the Penguins and Hippo look like they are lying down on the surface. Not standing up. |

I ask because the Penguins and Hippo look like they are lying down on the surface. Not standing up. It looks like an updaate to the older Asahiyama set--and yeah, they are magnets. Me--I'd like to know more about that salamander and komodo dragon! _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! | Argh...
If the figures in the first set have elements of the zoo (I can see the gorilla does but not as worried about that one...) I'll be extremely, epically disappointed.
Finally making some iconic world species and I don't want nor collect them represented in captivity...

| I'm also fantasizing that the warthog is free standing and 3D enough to look like a regular figure. |

| I can't resist to an aardvark, however, the most interesting figure for me is probably the Komodo dragon. Thanks everyone for keeping us informed about these sets. |

The rhino and lion have not been announced for release, along with the elephant they are old models from the 1990s. The pictures I posted before were from an old exhibition. Only the elephant has been chosen for a re-release but there is always the possibility that some other old models will be too. |

| I'm really interested in those poseable figures. I haven't seen that trait very often with animal models. I guess it's hard to create joints in a way that doesn't interfere with the model's realism/aesthetic.
Kaiyodo's sculpts are outstanding. I wish their models were a little easier to get hold of here in the US. |
