Yes Anna, they will be big :) I also want the panda and this gorilla.
The price of the gorilla in HobbyLink Japan will be around 16 euros. Perhaps the panda will be the same ..

Thanks for sharing these pictures of the gorilla with us, Kosta! 16 Euros seems quite affordable considering the size of the figures. The problem is always shipping, of course. I was expecting a rhino or something like that, actually.

The new (It's not Ashahiyama, I've learned.) zoo set of 6 figures released yesterday.

People are asking me about fair prices for these and at this point with their being available only at a single venue, it's too difficult to predict what will happen with prices.

Generally we expect them to go down as competition wanes, but that didn't happen with the Deep Sea sets of the last two years, and they stayed rare and difficult to find.

Some are already available on YAJ, and I am working on getting them from there and elsewhere, of course, for anyone interested.

Is it possible to get the blue whale with a lower price?

I just got the blue whale for a buyer for 21892 yen including shipping to the US.

11642 yen (figure) + 825 (source fee) + 825 (my fee) + 8000 (shipping) + 600 (direct shipping fee) = 21892 yen total

Hey.

From now forward, my main source will be shipping all orders directly from Japan, avoiding the double shipping costs that were our biggest (only?) liability.  She will consolidate as usual and charge a small fee--usually from 200-600 yen, perhaps 1200 yen for extremely oversized packages.

While this is obviously extremely good news for all involved, please consider, if you are questioning why there'd be any fee at all, the cost of her storing so many figures in her small living space and the service she provides in consolidating orders from multiple sources over several months' time. This aside from the obvious savings of not having everything shipped to me and then to the buyer from the US.  So not only will all buyers now do better pricewise, but international buyers can now benefit as much as those in the US.

She is also now willing to ship on an as requested basis when it's important--not necessarily requiring the 2+ month intervals, though that will be the default.
 
So, if anyone knows of anyone, international collectors especially, who might now feel they would benefit from our revised plan, I'd appreciate your making them aware of it.  I can't imagine anyone beating our prices now and certainly I believe our service has always beaten that which buyers can get anywhere else--not in vague or generic terms but in what we do for buyers to help them obtain desired items.

Additionally, I will now have my new figure source ship to my main source, so those figures will be included in your orders with no additional cost.  So the only orders shipping from the US will be those coming from my own inventory.

Finally, if there is anything else anyone thinks we can do that would be beneficial to our buyers, please feel free to suggest it.

This is very good new imho But I have one question.
Here in the Netherlands, packages from out of Europe will have extra fees (taxes and import/Duane costs) if the package value is higher than 20 euros. I really like the fact that we save money, but it will be a bummer if the post man comes to my door and I have to pay like 20 extra euros for extra costs. Don't know if this will be a problem? because as of today, I had no extra fees/costs from your packages sent by you Brett.

(Maybe more Dutch people can give more info about this, as I don't know or whole post system XD)

I should have noted, but didn't know that it would be desirable, that you can opt to have your items sent from me.

Joining the already available large mountain gorilla, giant panda, and Komodo dragon, Kaiyodo has released the giant salamander already noted here as well as a polar bear and (very cool) caterpillar.
