| How is it possible that nobody likes Yowie chocolate? I don't use to eat Kinder eggs but they taste good. It is hard to think that a chocolate brand can survive on market based only in their premium figures. I wish Yowie USA is successful and that they release more animal series. |

For the longest time, Kaiyodo sold their Animatales and Dinotales the same way--with awful little chocolates. I was eventually able to try it and...not good. But for some reason, the line went on for several years ! Even as two lines, when it became ChocoQ while the ChocoEgg line carried on separately. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! And when buying a Yowie, it means you are buying a chocolate candy figure with a toy hidden inside? But Kinder Surprise eggs (a chocolate egg with a toy inside) gets stopped at the border of the USA with a $1200 fine for each egg.

Okay. Can someone explain this to me? Most Walmarts now. Yes. Short answer A) 1938 law prohibiting non-edible items from being embedded in candy B) Heavy lobbying against Kinder and the like from US-Based candy giants C) Yowie got around A and side-stepped B by making a notable ridge which clearly denotes that there is something inside the chocolate AND making their capsules a pain to open (thereby reducing the choking hazard of the capsule itself. D) side note, similar in styling, but with (what I've seen) inconsequential "prizes" is Choco Treasure. That's the reasoning I've seen so far. This should probably be moved somewhere it's not hijacking Takama's thread _________________ Laura
