Schleich 14197 Gorilla lady: A walkaround by Kikimalou

Despite Gorillas are really common animals in the Toy world, females have the weakest part on shelves. Of course, companies prefer making big testosteroned silverback because they are an emblematic figure of the jungle.

Only a few companies made Gorilla ladies: Bullyland, K&M, Safari LTd, Schleich... And probably AAA

While I was reorganizing my Congo forest shelf I felt on the old Schleich beauty and thought it was unfair she had no walkaround on STS.

So, I will try to give her justice now.

This model was sold by Schleich betwween 2002 and 2004 and was a perfect icone of the Schleich style in the early 2000's. She was lately replaced by the Gorilla Female with Baby in 2012.

Surely this Matriarch deserved a walk around. I often say that I already have all retired Schleich I need but I often forget this magnificent piece. She was really available for such a short time, King Kong probably never had a wife so likely market was cruel to that old lady. Thanks for walk around and old and new comparison pic.
