| @Duck-Anch-Amun I would be happy to sell you a parrot and goose from Series 3. Shipping to the EU is generally about $14 minimum, unfortunately @Attis same as above; I would be willing to sell you a pangolin, but again shipping is expensive from US to EU. In either case if you want to wait until I have some Series 4 figures for combined shipping that's fine too :) PM me if interested. _________________ Where I try to find the best figure of every species: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=3390.0

| Still no series 4 at my local stores. I have tried Walmart, Target, Walgreens, and Winco, although I just realized I forgot to check Safeway. Any other places I should try? Not that I know of - very strange, since as they say here in Minnesota you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a box of series 4 at the first three you mentioned. Are you sure that you're actually not seeing the new series? They aren't very well marked - you have to look very closely to the box and labels to see where it says "New Series" or something like that. |

| I've only seen them at Target so far (upstate New York), and the box has a mandrill on it, which Series 3 didn't. If they aren't displayed in the box I don't think I'd be able to tell. _________________ Where I try to find the best figure of every species: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=3390.0

| The foil wrapper of Series 4 has a white band with the WCS logo, and all of the ones I've gotten had an expiration date of Dec 2019. _________________ Collector of marine mammals

| Updated my trade list in the first post. I'm likely done blind-buying these and am hoping to trade to complete the collection. I'm going to list them on Ebay for sale in the next few days, so if you're interested please PM me. Thanks! |

I have been looking for that. The stores sometimes don't change out the boxes in the checkout lanes, so I check the foil bellies. None in my area yet. They must have a backlog of Series 3 to sell. I guess I need to be patient. _________________ Jessica Schleich | Safari Ltd. | CollectA | Papo | Mojö Fun | Bullyland | Yowie | Little Critterz | Breyer | et al...

| Walmart in my town finally got Series 4, but only has one box out so far (the rest are Series 3). I bought a handful of the eggs, but it's so close to Christmas I put them under the tree. I waited this long already, so I guess I can wait a little longer. _________________ Jessica Schleich | Safari Ltd. | CollectA | Papo | Mojö Fun | Bullyland | Yowie | Little Critterz | Breyer | et al...

Wow, that took a long time! But at least that will be a nice Christmas surprise :) |

No joke! Walmart almost got me last time doing that. Luckily I noticed before I got to the checkout. _________________ Jessica Schleich | Safari Ltd. | CollectA | Papo | Mojö Fun | Bullyland | Yowie | Little Critterz | Breyer | et al...

| I updated my list again. I don't think I will be buying more Yowies from the store for a while. I'm pretty sure at this point I will end up with lots of duplicates of my current trade fodder if I do. Maybe the tigers/mandrills/tortoises, etc will be easier to find in future batches? Also, is anyone else less than enthused about the new softer plastic Yowie is making them with? I don't notice it on some figures, but it is particularly yucky/cheap feeling on the guanaco and the ground cuckoo. _________________ Jessica Schleich | Safari Ltd. | CollectA | Papo | Mojö Fun | Bullyland | Yowie | Little Critterz | Breyer | et al...

| I hear you Jessica - either they have some serious distribution issues with this series or they've moved to a "chase" model.
After something like four boxes I have never seen an orangutan or star tortoise nor have I seen any online for sale. I'm beginning to wonder if/how many of these actually exist. Then again, I thought that about the spray toad and all of a sudden I got bunches.
On the plus side, they seem to SERIOUSLY have reduced the number of Yowies in the mix. That can only be a good thing in my book. In my four + boxes this series I have only gotten two Yowies. Much better, although I really wish they'd eliminate these entirely or, if they must, make these the chase issues.
I haven't really noticed much difference in the quality of the plastic. It has always been a little all over the map, some are resin-like hard plastic (like the rabbit in the first series) and others are flexible (mostly marine mammals). The cuckoo and guanacos that I have seem on the better end of the spectrum. I certainly hope they haven't moved to a new formula that I haven't seen yet.
In any event, I've had good fun collecting these. The quality is above-average and the mix of species is excellent (certainly comparable to the old Playvisions). I'd love to support them as long as they continue issuing new animals, but if this continues I'm out as well. I keep keep going back for a few more but my patience is wearing thin. |
