Schleich Special Edition 2010: Satchmo von Isabell Werth

From the horse blanket were only ten pieces and so i bought all of them.

Lucky you it's a nice colour green. I'll have to see if I can make a small enough horse blanket for mine.

Hi guys, I am so happy that I finally received my five lovely Satchmo horses today. And I am very thankful to Torben and of course to some of our members here and at the LG as well for sharing, posting and breaking up the good news to everybody in here.

Also I am so thankful to Ms Nicolette Lerch for giving me a very affordable price and making this transaction possible. And for giving these three signed horses. Truly it's an overwhelming!

There are 80 new Pieces of it.

Thanks Phil. :) Actually three more of these Satchmo horses in Green blankets will be joining them soon. I felt sad that I didn't had the chance to get the last limited edition Schwarzwälder Kaltblupferd from last year. So, I am putting all my frustration into this beautiful horse instead.

I have six new Satchmo with the Green Dress and another two without the signature came last week together with the Elves that I posted two days ago. Now they just have completed the lucky-13 Satchmo horses.

Congratulations for having so many Sathmos, and some tagged by Isabelle! Great!
But the horse which is on photo described:"Sathmo itself" cannot be Sathmo It's color is different: chestnut-Sathmo is bay, and also they have different shape of white spot on head.

Who or what is Satchmo? what is all this about and what is so special about these Schleich models and why are schleich making them anyway?

Sorry for these questions but I dont buy or collect Schleich farm models but it would be interesting to know what this Satchmo thing is all about. Can someone please explain the idea/concept etc?

Satchmo is a special edition model of a real dressage horse, Satchmo. Yes, it's like the Llama they made.
Only a limited number of these models are made and some of them signed by the owner of the real Satchmo.

I agree that your signed Satchmo(s) looks like a wonderful addition(s)to your collection! Beautiful! What year was this figure made. Thank you for sharing your photos. Someone posted that there was a llama special edition also - what year was that made? When I purchased my newest "new" figure there was a booklet put out by Schleich that was free for the taking. It had all the figures that I believe to be presently available, and the newest ones for 2010 marked in it. When Schleich makes special editions how do they let you know it is coming and also how are they made available? Are they only presented at the "Fairs" that the Schleich company's representatives go to?
