Oh, I want to know everything about it, please. Safari has integrated some aliens in their range in the past and I always found that shark a little suspicious. I only don't know why it is surviving for such a long time. |

| I can give you info as soon as I return home (Monday morning) and I also have a bottlenose dolphin that shares the same mould as the old Safari spotted dolphin by the same company. I may be wrong but I think they were sold with the orca & king penguin by Toy Major that I gave a photo you to put on the TAI _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. Great! the penguin and orca are 2006 models, you haven't found a letter on your penguin but maybe the dolphin and the shark are marked. It is a little off-topic but not completely, Toy Major released some sea life figures providing their scale. For instance, their shark and ray series from 1994 is at 1:30 scale, much probably compatible with the 1:32 models presented here. Also, they are among the best TM figures. |

| The Toy Major great hammerhead seems interesting. But probably hard to find. - widukind wrote:

You mean the scalloped hammerhead, isn't it? It is not great enough to worth the effort and the model seems large for a 1:30. I believe you can find better representatives of hammerheads sharks at this scale, I only doubt you can find all species. A bonnethead will probably not be easy. Though, it will be fantastic if you can find great, smooth and scalloped with the "head" and all fins decently represented. |

| Ah, yes, you are right, it isn't a great hammerhead. I already have a Colorata and Kaiyodo scalloped hammerhead. |

| No, it is not working, a code with a url that is not linking directly to an image file wont work with these tags. I think it is not good that you use a Google service to post here. |

| Here are my 1:32 scale ratites: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]From left to right: Colorata (Neotropical and Australian regions) Southern cassowary, Starlux rhea, Starlux cassowary, Yowies (UK) cassowary. The Colorata is 4.9/157 cm, Starlux rhea 5.3/170 cm, Starlux cassowary 5.3/170 cm, Yowies cassowary 4.7/150 cm (without bases but including combs). Wikipedia says that adult southern cassowaries are 1.5 to 1.8 m tall, although some females may reach 2 m. ADW says that greater rheas measure 1.34 to 1.70 meters in height and Wikipedia says that their typical range is 1.4 to 1.7 m, but in rare cases, large males can stand nearly 1.83 m tall. No ostriches you say? How about the Britains ostriches? No, the Britains ostriches I have are rather small for males and I haven’t been able to find 1:32 scale ostriches from other brands. The later Britains ostrich with moveable neck is 6.1/195 cm tall and the earlier version is 6.0/192 cm. According to Wikipedia, male ostriches can be from 2.1 to 2.8 m in height, although female ostriches are smaller and range from 1.7 to 2.0 m tall. Other websites mention similar heights. The Britains ostriches are larger than my other ratites, but only slightly so: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
