Schleich Bottlenose Dolphin 2018 Walkaround vs the 2013 Model

I've done it. I bought the new Bottlenose Dolphin from Schleich. It is quiet simple and not very exciting in shape. But the colour is better than it was before. It represents a typical Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin.

As you can see, the head is now rounder, which fits better with the shape of an Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin. And the shape of the flippers got simpler.

Interesting, the mould differences are not very noticiable and you're right, flippers do look simpler indeed. The painting is the most noticiable difference and I believe also the material?

Not a fan of this one, although I am a big Cetacean fan.
The fins are way to simple and they even made the mistake of the pectoral fins being just a triangle shape, which is different on the 2013.

Yes, the old material was softer. This new one is very light and the material surface feels a bit cheap. But the colouration is good. But all in all, this models is quiet good. There could be some more markings, but for a Schleich model the result is good:)

I think they create this Flippers shape to present this dolphin in a jumping position. Then, the Dolphins put their Flippers really close to the body.
