20 Figures of animals in danger of extinction

Hello friends,

Today I present my latest acquisitions, 20 figures of animals "in danger of extinction", which have been sold as a promotion accompanying some Spanish newspapers.

Its brand is OPEN PROM and with 2016, they were distributed in 2017.

I have acquired them now in one of those Spanish newspapers, of which I accompany you link, where you can also see photographs of beautiful backgrounds with the original images of the figures: https://promociones.diariovasco.com/animales-extincion-88

Its size is 8-10 cm and average quality.

Is it possible to get hold of some of them, if you do not live in Spain ?

Precisely, Susanne, the link that I have included allows you to acquire the figures by mail.

What I do not know is if they ship outside of Spain, although within the European Union there should be no problem.

I guess it's a matter of consulting each specific destination.

That are the La Verdad animals. Do you know a shop where i can find them. I am for a week in Teneriffa :)

Andreas, the newspaper "La Verdad" is from Murcia.

The Tenerife newspaper that sold this collection of animals is "El Día"

You can ask at a kiosk if there are pieces yet or, in another case, in the "Promociones" (Promotions) section of the newspaper.

Enjoy our wonderful island of Tenerife. And if you are in the south, I would recommend going by ferry to La Gomera, a wild and jungle island.

The time 8s too short for La Gomera, too sad. But i hope we will come back and than. We asked but it was not possible from the harbour in the near.

Hello Jose Antonio. Actually we were aware of this series and our problem is how to get them. I am myself interested in some of them, especially the Iberian lynx. I am in contact with a Spanish member to get them and I hope to get a few.
In this Toy Animal Wiki there is already a page dedicated to them but we still need pictures to complete it. So, if you want to provide pictures of your figures to be used there, it would be very appreciated. I want also to congratulate you for acquiring them and also to thank you for pointing us again to this wonderful series. To coplement, I already contacted some of the Vocento editions and I never received a reply from them, I've just received some non desired newsletters.

I live in Madrid, Andreas, but I know our Canary Islands well (I say ours both for Spain and for Germany, because in the South of Gran Canaria, for example, there are almost more Germans than Spaniards)

They are real images of the figures, on a background related to their habitat and with a very good definition.

Jose, those are official pictures and I needed to ask their permission to use them. Our online collector's guide is made with collectors' pictures. Please don't feel obliged to take pictures of your figures, it requires a lot of work and I am myself a non photographer doted person.

Regarding the reference in ToyAnimalWiki to Vocento, S.A. as a brand of this collection, it is incorrect. Other newspapers that are not part of this editorial have also promoted the collection.

The company that distributes the collection is OpenProm, S.L. and the brand indicated by the cards that accompany the figures "OpenToys", which although it is called the same, is not the Argentine and Chilean toy store "Open Toys"

Please don't worry about the pictures. We will surely find a way to get some of these figures and slowly build the page at Toy Animal Wiki.
Your information is already very useful and I modified the page from Vocento to OpenToys according with your precious information. I used the name Vocento once I thought all editorials were from the group but as long as they are only one of the main customers, it doesn't make sense anymore. OpenToys will work better, unfortunately it is not easy to find more information online about the brand and company but, for our collecting reference, the available information is enough.
