Speaking as someone from the US, I think a more subtle Freedom Griffon would have been better. It already looks like an eagle, so not much more would need to be done. In retrospect, maybe this dragon is trying a little too hard.
I love the contents of the Pelagic Fish Toob, particularly the Tuna, Swordfish, and Sailfish. However, based on the quality of the recent toobs that I've seen, I'm in no hurry to try any new ones. Hopefully, someone will release full-sized versions soon.

Maybe a bit... I'm sure there was a much better way they could have sculpted it overall that looks less like Herbie the Love Bug, what with those red and blue racing stripes. What's really funny about it though is that it's a FREEDOM DRAGON. They just wanted to make a USA dragon? Cool, that's fine. Do a whole line of national dragons, that's cool. But he's beyond just representing the USA. He represents FREEDOM!!1! AGGRESSIVELY AMERICAN FREEDOM!

I really like this idea, however, I have no problem at all with Safari starting with the US even if it seems overdone (I think we mean the same thing). This is just a personal opinion, though. If yours is different then I completely respect it.
To be fair, I think their Steampunk dragon also looks too aggressively steampunk. It should have been easy to pull off, but they seem to have gone with just a typical robot-based design. I wish he looked more like a dragon.
I think Safari shows as year to year, that they know that there are a lot of collectors among their buyer. Some years ago, a primate toob contained Gorillas, Mandrills, Orangs and Pavians - and now look those faboulus species choice. To bad that they sell the Sifaka in the description as an Indri, I was already really hyped.
The Primate toob is on my list, even that I already have a lot of the species. Maybe someday people will sell the figurines solo and not as a set. Same for the Pelagic Fish Toob, the dolphin toob is also very nice. The King Vulture is really a must-have and a species long known on my wishlist. The same for the snub-nosed monkey, a new addition to my wishlist. The clouded leopard is also nice, but it seems a little to "yellow". I didn´t bought the Papo one, cause I really love Mojo as the first company with a clouded leopard despite it´s poor colouring, but as more figurines of this beautiful animal appears, it becomes harder and harder for me.

Hello guys! What a great show! As a collector and a south-american, I'm particularly glad with the many animals coming from my (sub)continent. Loved the New World monkeys, most specially the common marmoset: it is a species that lives in some of the poorest parts of Brazil... I could never expected to see a company making a figurine of it! The caiman is also great, it is the most abundant specie, Caiman yacare, that can be found all over Plata River and, most specifically, on Pantanal marshes. The king vulture is a trully gem, a beautiful animal, and I 'm anxious to check on the paint job on its face. I'm a bit sad because firtly I thought the pink dolphin on the tood was a amazonian one, but it is not... well, I'm still waiting for the boto! Tremendous additions: snub-nosed monkey, serval, the sharks and the mandril... loved the pose! About the toobs: the species are awesome, but I'm worried about their size. There are so many dolphins and so many fishes... I bet they will be tiny little things, what would be so sad!

Oh, yeah, I'm not even offended by it. I just think it's hilarious! It would be interesting if they really gave some thought to what a dragon representing each nation would look like, drawing from its history, symbology, and so on. Just as long as the Canada dragon isn't, y'know, a beaver with wings.

Steampunk is trash anyways, and that Steampunk dragon is everything wrong with Steampunk. It looks like a bike chain with legs. If they wanted to do a good one, they should have taken inspiration from the Maleficent dragon parade float at Walt Disney World. That thing is pretty cool.

That's odd about the sifaka. In the photos it is labeled as "Indridae," which is misspelled but basically correct. Sometimes they fix these errors, so it might be worth dropping them a line about it. I wonder what's stamped on the figure.

honey badger, mandrill and pteranodon look wonderful!! together with camarasaurus, those are my picks for 2019.
a tiny bit disappointed with the stegosaurus, definitely didn't get as much love as recent years ceratopsians and feathered t-rex. still, we'll see how the final product looks like in certainly incoming reviews. i hope to change my mind about that one :)

Personally I think the "freedom" dragon is a bit silly. I agree that national mythical animals could be really cool if they did their homework, but this model for me I feel like is just a little silly...
I really like the albino python, salmon, spinosaurus... though I don't like the quadrupedal concept and I think the pattern could have benefited from a different color scheme, dolphin toob, pelagic fishes toob, primates toob (especially the emperor tamarin! One of my favorites), bamboo shark, honey badger, mandrill, serval (could have been a little less yellow), golden snub nosed monkey (also a favorite), grizzly bear, caiman, thoroughbred horse (really appreciate the dynamic pose here, I think it looks nice. however, it could have been a different color, they have a lot of normal brown horses in their equine line already), bulldog (even if its a repaint), chinchilla, marble ray, King vulture is really great, Tasmanian devil (I've always liked these guys), clouded leopard, and rereleased pangolin.
Overall, even if its a lesser release year for Safari, I think their species choice is great and most of it should look great in hand also.

Oh wow, so many goodies! I'm in love with the Stegosaurus. What a beauty! The sub nosed monkey, serval, king vulture, the bamboo shark.... So many new species for my collection. I better start saving!

Great figures! I would love to write an honest critique about them.
My favorite so far is the Camarasaurus. As far as I can tell, he looks very scientifically accurate and I love his husky-like mask (which seems to be an original choice). That being said, the prototype on the website looks really scuffed up. I'm not sure why a better one couldn't have been used. I also really love the variety of sharks this year. The salmon is excellent, though a little too big for my collection.
To be honest, I'm a little bit disappointed with the selection of domestic pets. Don't get me wrong, the Persian and Bulldog seem perfectly fine for what they are. I was just hoping for one that was more impressive like the Poodle was last year. As I mentioned in a recent Schleich comment, there should ideally be a good mix of both big and small.
The Spinosaurus is really great, although I think he's a little too similar to the CollectA version. I like the more bird-like corners of the mouth on the Allosaurus and would love to see more of this feature in other dinosaurs. The Stegosaurus looks much too big and stylized for me. The shape of his neck, back, and plates don't seem quite right, but I could be wrong about this. Maybe they just lack detail.
I really like the dragons as well, although I don't collect them. However, I prefer Schleich's Lava Dragon over this one. Overall though, these are some pretty solid attempts.
Being one of the local Dinosaur experts(Or so i think)
This Stegosaurus is based off of a new specimen of the Species called Sophie
as you can see, the plates are weird looking. And Safari is the first Company to make this updated look.

Thanks! I knew I was probably missing something and this clears a lot of it up. That being said, Sophie still lacks the classic long head and arched back I associate with Stegosaurs. Maybe I just prefer more typical representations.

Another stupendous year to Safari! For sure I will want the serval, king vulture and snub-nosed monkey. If possible, I will also get the honey badger, Caiman, clouded leopard and the Tasmanian devil. Some tubes are also nice as well as the salmon but for now I have enough wishes. If I was still collecting prehistoric animals, my first choice would be prestosuchus. Thanks Safari for releasing so many great figures!

Are they actually coming out with Clouded leopard, serval, etc that you just mentioned. I didn't see any photos like the others.
