Schleich 2019

Thank you for all the praise

I am happy to see Schleich's first attempt (well, at least in a long while) of a standard-sized arthropod. The eye arrangement is wrong for this species, but you can be sure I'll get it regardless!

I must agree with Roger on his assessment of the others, esp. the 'cutsie' domestic animals. Even most of the wildlife looks unnaturally anthropomoprhized in their facial expressions. I also agree the growling wolf is a HUGH improvement over the last one from a couple years back.

Now, I know I'm getting older and I know I need glasses, because my eye sight is getting a little bad,
but right now, to me, all these Schleich 2019 animals look like they were hit badly with the UGLY stick.
Yikes! And more Yikes!

I will take the Quokka and the Tarantula. All the others look typical for Schleich. Especially the Lynx looks horrible!

Tez, I expected something more after Schleich this year, because the competition is clearly developing in the quality of their models, and Schleich is just a plus, grizzly with the young, wolf and Komodo is also cool. As for me, this is not enough.

after much reflection, my list has grown to seven, which certainly will be bought by a quokka, a lioness, a female deer

Wow the wolf mother cub set has very bad paintwork, the bootleg copy of the arctic wolf had similar coloring and it looked better...

I like the new growling wolf and the okapi alot but the rest of these are pretty meh. The shibas are not as good as the mojo one. The sculpt of the bobcat/lynx is good but the paintwork is dull. The deer are alright but aren't an improvement over the previous set.

I'm disappointed in the boring coloring choice for the Maine Coon, I was hoping for a tabby.

well, the angry wolf and the spinosaurus interest me.

deers and okapi are nice aswell.

better than 2018 IMO.

I thought the same thing! They look like poor quality China copies. I hope it is just a bad prototype in the picture and the retail ones are somehow better.

Actually, I am hoping a lot of these look better in person, as many times they can. Although I sadly admit that Schleich has been less appealing to me year after year since I prefer realism over cuteness factor. This is a shame, since Schleich is the most accessible brand to me, and the one that started my collecting.

To be completely honest, I can only really see the pony agility sets joining my collection, my least favourite model has to be the lippizaner stallion, although I have to say the wild life is looking good this year, as is that golden retriever.

Pretty disappointed in general.

The lioness' feet areflat indeed.
But it's still better than the previous version.

The fire bull is amazing though.

There's lots here that I like, and that'll be going on next year's wishlist. :) But I really, really hope the pegasus mare isn't that bright of a purple in person. I love everything about the dark fantasy horses except the bright purple.

Schleich isn't bad, when only a little couple of people dislike it.

The Agillity Sets, Wolves, and the Quokka, are wonderfull!

Some of the pictures I have seen some time ago on the mentioned website. So far I have only been able to read about the agility sets there.

As for me, the situation looks so normal that in those times everyone expects companies to be something newer and better at the same time. It's normal everything goes with the progress, there were no such equipment as now and figures even those 10 years ago sometimes look better than current.From the beginning, I adore schleich and their models I have more than 250 are wonderful but from year to year I think they are getting weaker. This year there are a few animals that I like, but they have more potential and opportunities and do not do anything to improve and this is not about criticism because I love their figurines but in these times they should adapt to the progress

Wildlife product range are really nice! Can't wait to get okapi, bears and lynx! Wolves have captured my attention as well...

I'm shocked to see how poor, cheap and ugly the new models are look like on these pictures, especially the Komodo dragon, the racoon, the ring tailed lemur and the wolf. Let's hope, they will look like much better in real. However, I will buy only the okapi to repaint it.

The first models have been released to Spielzeug guenstig. I have already placed my order

AS usual: Overcute or looking like in drugs...The wolf is a nice sculpt to repaint though and the Quokka ist a must-have
