| Have you ever heard about a python which exploded after swallowing a crocodile in the Everglades?OK, that Caiman is not a problem for that huge anaconda but better to play it safe. |

It is not a recent thing but you can find a little jornalistic article here. It was heavily debated because the "invasive" Burmese pythons have been impacting negatively Florida ecosystems. It is not their fault, of course. |

| I remember the python whose eyes were bigger than its stomach, it was reported frequently around here! Alain, our winters in southern Florida at least are warm enough for many tropical species, including Burmese pythons and many other reptiles etc. We rarely get temps down below 10 degrees, actually 13 is rather uncommon in the south. The green iguanas you see in photos are not native, but they can survive. The python hunts are often timed for colder spells, when the snakes will be torpid and move to sunny places in an attempt to warm themselves (but also making them easier for hunters to find). Python jacket lol! |

| And I just saw in a local news report today that an 18 foot/roughly 6 meter (didn't give exact length) python that was recently captured had a 5 foot/roughly 1.5 meter gator in its stomach. |

That's really huge! I don't know if I trust your local newspaper. I prefer Roger's topic about 1/32 scale. Oh, is it what you call a python overcoat? |

| Actually, I worked with an 18 foot Burm many years ago, so the females at least can hit that length. There have been several in that size range harvested, if I remember right. |

I was kidding because the reports of snake lengths use to be very exaggerated but these pythons are really huge. |
