Gah! I'd love to get this model I wish some brand made a Mommoth Jack - the largest breed of donkey. Big, slightly more heavy-boned than average donkey, with convex profile *sighs* Like this one: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Or even a bit bigger _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

| WOW!!!! That is a big donkey Beauuutyful ! Is it a "real" donkey? It looks almost like a mule, but I suppose it is because it is so well groomed, - and big !!!! Thankyou for the picture |

| Yes, it'a a donkey, not a mule. There are even bigger ones :) It's so well groomed because it's a photo from some show, however, I think they generally have such short coat, more like horses than typical donkeys. They are quite often used under saddle: *click* It's my favourite donkey breed, they look as majestic as a donkey can look But I like the smaller ones too. _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

| The last picture is a Nayab model.
I love donkeys. We have a miniature donkey that lives across the street that we visit regularly. He is such a sweetheart. I love rubbing the inside of his long ears. |

| Thank you Harriet and Susanne! Yes, the HR Mule is a gem. She's very rare. Made only for a short time in the mid-80s. I was lucky enough to fall in love immediately so i got one when they were first released. Otherwise i'd just have to sigh and admire. Now i wish i'd also gotten the Clydesdale they did at the same time. I didn't like it then, and i don't like it now, but it sells for fancy prices, so think of all the sheep that would buy! - SUSANNE wrote:

uh-oh.... you're tempting me to scan and share my Breyer catalogs. i have catalogs from 1970-71 through late 1980s. yikes, that would be a big project. _________________ carolynn

It takes an awful long time to scan and upload and download. And keep track of it. Usually I begin to make mistakes after the first 30 pages But it could be fun to see lust one of the very old ones, - if you have the time , of course |

| Harriet, The Clydesdale is below "Crusader" on this page. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - SUSANNE wrote:

I can do that - an incentive to get my scanner set up! And i can at least scan in from later catalogs the pages showing animals other than horses. _________________ carolynn
