you're probably right. I prefer the gloss finish to the matt - it's somewhat more appealing for some reason. That's a great site, I've never seen a lot of these models before, I like the DW Sespe Violette and the Shetland ponies are so cute! EDIT: I've just been looking at the cattle I want them!! that longhorn and the herefords _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

you and me both! Domino, the Hereford bull, is awesome. Sespe Violette is truly spectacular. Really an amazing piece. for that matter, most of the DW horses, cattle, and dogs are breathtaking. i'm still tickled that i was able to get a white DW Saddlebred Honora. He's so pretty! (although why they named a male Honora... ) _________________ carolynn

| Coming back to donkeys... In Spain we have the "burro catalán", the Catalonian donkey. I think it´s the biggest donkey breed we have, and in fact it´s big! I recently visited a dromedary and donkey farm, they also had a Spanish horse. Some of the Catalonian donkey stallions were nearly as bigger as the horse! | Silvia, the Catalonian donkey is wonderful. what a good looking guy! What work does this fellow do, that he has the hair cut? Susanne, it would be so neat if someone would do various donkey breeds! I'm not so sure i'd want it to be Stone though. i'm not terribly fond of their mules, and they seem to be doing only customs and very limited releases... all very expensive! even teh "regular" prices are high - the little Arab mare that is my favorite was $50 for just a regular release!!! It's probably just as well, because if she were less, i'd be tempted to collect them! _________________ carolynn

| Yipeee, I got hold of the cutest little donkey From Starlux, I think [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Perhaps somebody can tell me a little about her, please ? Long time no see Christophe, but in case you are there So here is an update of my collection of very small donkeys. The sun is out today, and it is so bright that the cream donkey from Siku completely looses details in the picture, so I also took one indoors. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]On the picture from indoors, however, the gorgeous old donkey by Lineol is too dark It is a tough life to be a collector [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]On the last picture you see the donkey from Lineol, which was a most fantastic gift from Sus and Lesley. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]In front a NN-donkey, the light one is by Siku, Behind it my new Starlux(?)donkey and to the right a little old one from Bullyland , first made in 1980 |

| Congrats on your new cutie! Can you also post more photos of the Siku Donkey? I don't know anything about that brand. His pose is fantastic, very donkey-like! And of course the Lineol... _________________ carolynn
