| Interesting. I had seen them before but didn't realise they were Eikohs. I assumed they were were older figures, because I didn't find them on the Japanese Schleichland website, but you may be right, they may be new. We'll know for sure once someone gets them and checks the year underneath. |

| The mandrill is my favorite I think, such great figures though! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. Did you get all those ?
Thankyou very, very much for the info and the wonderful photos, - can we use the pictures for TAI ? Du you know if they were made this year ? Hy dear friend, I`m glad you like them, just as me :) No Susanne, these are not my photos and I don`t have any of these models ... still. I would be happy to have them, they look nice. Especially the Gorilla... you know that I`m gorilla fan :) My first Eikoh model ever, was a gift from you - the male Gorilla... and I love it ! These photos I found on Mercari ( website like Taobao, Ebay ....) , from different sellers and I shared it here. And i have no idea which year they are made ... but maybe they are new ... since most of us don`t know bout them :) _________________ KOSTA |

| I don't need another Tyrannosaurus or another Triceratops (there are so many already!) but maybe down the road they will do some interesting species. Thanks for the information! _________________ Where I try to find the best figure of every species: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=3390.0

| I also didn't know about these. While the figures are not that exciting, the fact that Eikoh is releasing larger figures is a very interesting information. It seems they're hollow, at least the bigger ones. Maybe these primates are the nicest. |

| I bought the African elephant a while ago and I think it is very elegant: He has a shoulder height of 9 cm, so he is very slightly smaller than most of the elephants by the major manufacturers, but still goes well with them. I am sure it's a matter of taste, but in my opinion he is more pleasing to the eye than the elephants by Western manufacturers. He doesn't have a year underneath, but it's clear that it's a new release. Apparently, only for sale in Arcade shops in Japan. The head comes separate from the body and has to be clicked in. It's made from PVC. I don't don't have the impression that it's hollow, because it is quite heavy. |

| You're right, Roger. When compared with most of the major brands elephants, it presents some pleasant aspects, namely the trunk and tusks are not too thick as usual, and the head seems also correctly proportioned. It shows also some "verticallity, what means the legs are probably not too short. Thanks for sharing! |

| Finaly, I got these 4 animal models (actually 5, because there are two pandas ), with a great help from Brett I am very happy with them. They look really nice, with the unique style of Eikoh . I also have the blue triceratops, which I found on Ebay a while ago. And I think, it will be nice to present these models with walkarounds, instead of only making photos for TAW, showing them also comparing with some major brands models ... What do you think, should I make a new topic , with walkarounds ? ... because the photos will be a lot ... Or, to continue on this one ? _________________ KOSTA |

| I'd love to see your photos, Kosta. A second set of larger figures has now appeared: The photos are stolen from Mercari. I haven't seen photos of the other 3 animals yet. I am curious what the size of the giraffe is. The rhino (a white rhino) looks to be a similar size as those by the major modern companies. |

| Brett said that these figures are only available in amusement centres. I assume places where people can play Pachinko or Slot and they can win them as a prize. They aren't really made for animal figure collectors, which explains why they only have very common species. I wonder how many sets Eikoh are going to make for this market. |

| Thanks Roger for sharing these models with us. When we witnessed the first sets of Eikoh miniatures, we could never guess they would offer such a huge diversity as we see these days. The same may happen with the larger models, time will tell. - costicuba wrote:

Kosta, I also would love to see walk arounds of these models and in another topic or even in their own topics. :) |
