PHOTOS of New Arrivals: Eikoh Animal Infinity Series Models x5

Dear Friends

I received a set of the larger Eikoh 'Schleich' sized models today and thought I would share some photos with you before I put them on display in my vitrines.  Unfortunately, one tusk of the elephant was broken - oh well these things can happen and I will just have to cleverly apply some superglue.  Nonetheless I enclose photos of each model alongside an equivalent from a current brand for size comparison.

My favourite is the Giraffe, followed by Elephant.  My least favourite is the Tiger - slightly odd.  The Polar Bear looks like it is leaning so far back it may topple over.  However, overall they are lovely and pretty cute and great additions in my collections.  My attention will turn to getting the rest in the series one day which are the Lion, Panda and Gorilla.  I sincerely hope they expand this series and make more lovely animals (current brands watch out!).

This is not a walkaround - I am not very good or patient with taking and uploading photos so I will leave our other creative and excellent friends to do so of their models, these are just some quick photos to help you see what each model looks like with an equivalent model on the market.

Finally, I dont know why (perhaps I am an old fool) but whenever I upload portrait photos in IMGBB (image hosting site) it turns the photo around to landscape and there is no way to edit it so apologies folks!

Beautiful Eikoh models, I love their larger figures and so useful to see them next to major brand equivalents!

This topic is a great overview of this series and a good reference to I start editing it on TAW.
They are compatible with major brand figures, so Eikoh is more and more oriented to Western market in terms of design. I don't know if they intend to be available exclusively in Japan forever. Thanks Numaan, very useful.

Like you said, the tiger is odd with proportions , but still interesting looking :)

Ha, thanks Costicuba - my photos are always quick and simple whereas your images are far superior. I added some photos to your wonderful posting on the Giraffe. It is indeed, really lovely, nice proportions and with a nice turn/twist to the neck which the major Euro/US brands have not yet been able to master. I like all the Eikoh larger models but the tiger, whilst nice is my least favourite (but will remain in my collection).

Amazing : Kosta has made some great pictures of there also, but it is always fun to see how different photographers can take pictures of the same models and make 2 + 2 = 5
