| Far and away my favorite of the otter figures I own, and one of my favorites in my entire mustelid collection. I purchased this figure from a seller on Ebay, who offered it to me when I approached them about purchasing a different otter figure, which I also ended up buying. I absolutely love the anatomy, and really admire how the makers captured the serpentine movement of a river otter in a simple plastic figure. It feels almost alive, with a sense of the weight shifting present from every angle. W.A.I. seems to have a knack for capturing a sense of weight in their figures, something that many companies completely miss by making the figures seem too light and floaty. It's one thing I love about W.A.I. and why I want to add more figures from the company to my collection in the future, as presently I only have this, the wolf pup, and the snow leopard cub. | Beautiful, and I didnt know it existed! I wish figures from this brand were a bit easier to find. There is a wolf pup I'd like to find, I'd assume an adult as well. Really great playful, sinuous, alert otter model! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. Same. I didn't know anything about this figure before the seller showed it to me. I actually have the wolf pup (I completely forgot to add that to the description originally) and I'm not sure if there is an adult or not. The pup is surprisingly large, being about the same size as the otter. I'll have to do a turnaround of that one next. |

I don't think so. As far as I know W.A.I. stands for Wildlife Artists International. The bottom of this particular figure is marked W.A.I. 1995. I have two other figures from this company that I'll try to post turnarounds of later. |

my guess is it's pretty big, based on the ring-tailed lemur from the same series here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]you'd probably be better off with a Kaiyodo figure (but you may have to endure demarcations where they are assembled which I know you don't like). |

Thanks, I feel the same way! The figure is just over 6 inches long from nose to tail, 2 1/2 inches tall from the floor to the top of the head, and 1 1/2 inches wide between the front paws (about 3/4 of an inch at the belly). |

| Thanks for the measurements, VexVamp!
Blaine, thanks for the suggestion, certainly I dislike seams and I avoid if possible, tough I have a Kaiyodo serval with very visible ones (I didn't noticed before buying). _________________ My collection:- (Details):
