The news form Junya Sato, he is the manager of Ikimon. He said that these figures may not be released in Japan because the market conditions in Japan are not so good. So this set will sell in China only.

| Aside from having E ready to get them if released in Japan, I am already speaking to someone who has offered to help in China.
I'll update accordingly here and via my mailing list. Brett |

| Thanks, Dirk.
So these are gorgeous...
I assume since he (You) didn't write more that we still have no release information other than that it's been proposed that they might release in China and likely or perhaps not Japan--if they release at all.
Still, I'm taking orders for these now. Demand is very high as I began doing so this summer.
I have sources standing by in China in case they are not released in Japan.
Please PM if interested.
Thanks. Brett |

| I think we talked about that fish before: it's the Chinese high-fin banded shark Myxocyprinus asiaticus. It's a very large sucker (Catostomidae), one of only two species in the family native to Eurasia. _________________ Where I try to find the best figure of every species: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| GOSH ! Amazing They are so fine and delicate, and absolutely beautyful However, they are not the kind of models I want to collect. I think we can agree they are more like ornaments than toys |

That's the one! Maybe they'll make a secret figure in the juvenile pattern! _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! Thanks Tim, glad your hunch proved right after the paint job. It's on my to-get list. |

NTC doesn't usually do secrets like Kaiyodo does _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! I'd said somewhere--maybe earlier in this thread or maybe in a group mail to my buyers--that the monkey strikes me as one of those fake stone figures you'd find in a greeting card store. I imagine that that's maybe what you're seeing in all of these? For the rest, I feel they are much more in line with Kaiyodos. I'll definitely have these in my collection. Beyond wanting them, I imagine that, unless there's something different about the numbers due to distribution in China, the set will make quite an investment. Just look at what the zebra and giraffe and many others take just a few years after their releases. |

| I just noticed now, any idea what the other fish are with the sturgeon? They look familiar but I can't place them.
The sturgeon is gorgeous, but the accessory fish is probably a unique species. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection!
