| What a nice idea with the tapir baby. Ah, it makes me think that I don't have the fabulous CollectA tapir baby. OK, I don't collect babies, what a silly thing, especially regarding these beautiful creatures. If I keep thinking like that, I will ask you to customize me as a smooth fronted caiman. |

| What does spring time mean? Spring means babies! These are more so practice than perfect but I thought I'd share anyhow. *the bears will be explained in the next upload* Before: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]First is a very small donkey I came across. Turned it into a mini kiang or a foal (proportions aren't quite right for a foal but whatever ). Shown with my Schleich custom adult. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Next are some spring chickies! I have always loved Rhode Island Red chicks and any black or speckled ones. These were VERY hard to do because of their size and closeness. But I love the new variety I have. Shown with a Kaiyodo rooster, Schleich red hen, and the original color chicks. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And last but not least while doing some collection related things I realized I never finished my wolf pup trio. Repainted from the Wing Mau husky(?) Puppy. The brown and dark ones are more natural a color for such young pups and were done several years ago. This last one is a realistic color for older pups but I wanted 3 different schemes. Now my trio is done! Shown with their adopted AAA mother. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And I added pink toes to all. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The most exciting species (3 models) will be shown soon! I am just waiting for the fixatif to cure. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Those are great! And I've planned on customizing the husky pup to an Aussie for awhile, just never did. Lovely as an infant wolf. The chicks are just adorable, and I'm intrigued by the cosmetic surgery to the bear. But that fish... oooh... what is it? |

| Thanks Kelly and Fernando!
An aussie would fit those pups too, they are really nice models considering their branding. I have a story to share with the fish so I will surprise you with it soon hopefully! (Maybe tomorrow? My little operation hit some snags so I am not allowed to be too physically active yet, leaving me with too much time on my hands...)
Fernando, what do you mean by number? The large and little donkey are customs by me, the larger a Schleich the smaller an unknown make. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | These are all so wonderful, I just love the colour scheme of the donkey and those adorable chicks! I love chickens and you have painted them perfectly with those delicate speckles and lovely shades of brown- it really is impossible to resist a little chick! And impossible to resist a puppy, and you have painted those three so well to make wolf pups- it make me realise how fantastic the original sculpt is! And you have even gone to the detail of the little pink pads, and painted their faces to give them such sweet and innocent puppy expressions! I just love them, your repaints have such a unique pleasing style to look at! |

| Aaaww, love the tiny kiang! They look good together, even if it's not perfect foal proportions. And such little bitty details on those chicks, goodness. The chick on the red group in the back, the two-toned one looking at the camera, that's my favorite, what a little cutie. And pink wolf puppy toes! |

| Thank you everyone! I am glad the chicks are so popular. I felt like they didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped because of their size and each individual is pretty close to its neighbor so I couldn't blend colors and maneuver as well. Thank you all again! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Here these models have some small stories to go with. First are these bears, customized from the Schleich brown bears years ago I attempted to repaint them into Tibetan blue bears. Being only like 11, they didn't turn out (perhaps because I little regarded the species typical features and made up my own ). Here is the redo, again I was very unsure of the colors and thought I just ruined the models again until I got my fixatif on and saw the shading really come out. :) Very pleased. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And next, this fish came in a thrift bag (I later saw it again in a tube of cheap models at a store) and I was about to just toss it but realized it looked so familiar. I referenced my fish books at home and nothing matched... but I KNEW it was something real. Then I remembered, I used to binge watch River Monsters with Jeremy Wade. Its how I fell in love with learning about fish species and appreciated Toy Fish Factory models etc. So I started researching species featured in the episodes and whallah! After some paint, it is now a Giant Barb/Siamese Giant Carp. The mouth is a little weird but I am quite happy with it. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And further than that, while trying to shave off some seams my pocket knife caught on one fin and it began to break off (I thought it was hard plastic but it was softer than I had assumed). Grabbed some glue and you can't even tell. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]_________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | These are all really nice, I hadn't even heard of tibetan blue bears so I googled a photo just to see how your repaints matched up and ended up reading a bit about them, so thank you for pointing me at a new species to learn about! The fish is nicely done, too, I fully admit I know even less about fish than I clearly do about bears , but I can always appreciate a paintjob that nice and detailed, whether I know the creature or not! |

| Wow- those bears are lovely, and like George I'd never heard of the species.
But the fish- awesome! It does look like a carp, great fix and paint job! Might I ask which store carries the toob? I'd like to get one or two myself. |
