Beautiful! I love the keenway models. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. I never knew the AAA one was so big, and you have the gorgeous Schleich and Papo collies! I am in collie heaven! What brands are the two on the left in the last photo? Here is Bonnie, when she sees all these amazing models: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thank you so much for sharing!!

Fantastic group of rough collies and nice to meet also the real Bonnie. A big hug to such a beautiful animal. All this thing around dogs, more the fact that I won’t resist to Safari great Dane and Papo pyrennees and still a pair of dogs I will receive from a forum friend, are reactivating my dog fever. I remember discussing rough collies, behind the cortains with a forum friend and I could not conclude which one to get. I’d love to hear from you Taylor, Bonnie and anyone else about this subject. Which model do you suggest?

I remember discussing rough collies, behind the cortains with a forum friend and I could not conclude which one to get. I’d love to hear from you Taylor, Bonnie and anyone else about this subject. Which model do you suggest? Yes we have given Roger a dog fever! The Papo Pyrenees is a wonderful model , I would definitely recommend, and also an unusual breed and the only one I know as a model! And choosing a rough collie model is tricky- I think most would say the Papo or Schleich collie, but I think the painting on the Schleich is a bit strange, and the Papo is lovely but looks slightly different- it's more based on the older type of rough collie, before they became bred to a certain look. I do love the Keenway collies, but there seems to be huge variation is these models, some are really good, and others not so much, so it depends what you can find! The best models I have of a rough collie is actually a resin one, and one that is by a dolls house company- but these may be quite hard to find! I think it's a matter of taste, but I'm still waiting for the 'perfect' collie to be made by a major brand! I hope this helps! Oh and the latest Bullyland collie is also very nice! |

Thank you all for your kind words about my Rough Collie collection. Bonnie-the models in the last photo are all made in China models. Roger-my favourite models are the Papo and the 2 Keenway models. The only thing that I would like to see is maybe another colour ,although I know most peoples idea of a Rough Collie is the colour that Lassie is!!

Thanks Bonnie and Taylor, considering availability, maybe Papo is the nicer option. It is also maybe a good idea to wait for a better rendition of this breed. :)
