Red Panda!

Fever's paths are inescrutable.
Today I went to a shop near home to get a Schleich lemur to customize it as a crowned lemur (as certain chamaleonic macaque did).
However, it wasn't available.
I NEVER considered the Schleich red panda (or any other, actually). I dislike the color and sculpture or most of them. But, this time I studied the piece and realized that the model was not so bad ignoring the painting. So I get one, went home and...

This time I'm quite happy. I didn't got the golden shining of the fur, but it's quite decent in my opinion. I will keep trying to get the shinning.

It's good, but I don't remember how was the original one. It was really so bad as you said?

Thanks spacelab, indeed it's an improvement - delete this visually shocking black line in lower lip, turning those disturbing red eyes into dark, redefining more accurate position of white eyebrows, and making overal coat more reddish and les yellowish. Nice work :)

It is great to see that Schleich's wild animals are still often very nice, if just they got a better paintwork Wink

Kiki, that's exactly what I thing. They are not very difficult or complex improvements, but changes the model completely
To the extent that I have never considered any red panda (being one of the saddest wholes in my collection) and now I'm quite happy with this.

Adding the right details really changes the model in a better way and you did it just right !
